It does work perfectly using kmail in stand-alone-mode outside kontact. This is valid only for new messages. The other templates for answering and forwarding working fine inside kontact. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: Start a new mail kmail running inside kontact vs. start a new mail running standalone. Actual Results: Template for new mails not working. [Bug 266147] 'Save as list' doubles up mail adresses

Every time I create a list, seemingly all contacts included in the list are duplicated reliably. This is a happens all the time bug. It doesn't matter if the list is created manually in KAddressbook or by saving a set of addressees as a new list in Kmail (as in the step by step). It is extremely annoying for somebody who would like to keep a tidy address book, so I'm sure you can imagine I'd be very happy for a fix. I have three instances of many important contacts just because they are on two email lists. I basically cannot maintain an email list if I am unwilling to live with duplicate contacts at the same, because every time I delete them, I will mess up my email lists as old contacts are undistinguishable from the new. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 294441] kmail stays in offline mode, unable to send emails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294441 --- Comment #9 from Nenad Mikša DoDoEntertainment gmail com 2012-02-29 19:38:13 --- I even think the problem might be in Hardware Integration Configuration with Solid (System settings - Information sources). The network management backend does not correctly report the online status. Even when I start Kopete it starts in offline mode, even though I've set initial status as 'online'. Obviously it detects that system is offline in the same way kmail detects that, and that is through information sources or Solid... So I think this bug is not necessarily a bug in kmail, but a bug in system settings/information sources-network management backend (i.e. Solid). -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Bug 295098] New: kmail does not fetch mails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295098 Summary: kmail does not fetch mails Product: kmail2 Version: 4.8 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general AssignedTo: kdepim-bugs@kde.org ReportedBy: bartosc...@gmx.de Version: 4.8 (using KDE 4.8.0) OS:Linux I log in into my machine, start kmail and wait till new mails arrive. But kmail sometimes does not fetch any mail. The status indicator says that the services are preparing fetching mails. I think this has something to do with the kwallet or ksecretsservice integration. Several times I have seen that kwalletmanager showed me my wallet empty. I then killed kwalletd and restarted akonadi. I was then asked for the password again and kmail started to work. Till now this always helped after I found this out. I have the impression that kmail is extremely fragile when it comes to passwords. One should not enter a wrong password for the wallet. Needing two tries leads to trouble. I also see that already stored passwords are reasked. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: Try to enter a wrong password for your kwallet first. Or press ESC for the kwallet dialog. Actual Results: Nothing is fetched. There is no network traffic from kmail or akonadi on port POP3 or POP3S Expected Results: Mails are fetched. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugs.kde.org/userprefs.cgi?tab=email --- You are receiving this mail because: --- You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
