[Bug 294441] kmail stays in offline mode, unable to send emails
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294441 Lamarque V. Souza changed: What|Removed |Added CC||lamar...@kde.org --- Comment #23 from Lamarque V. Souza --- I am the Network Management maintainer in KDE, I use NetworkManager 0.9 and do not have this problem. Networkstatus works as expected here. Is everybody with this problem using only Arch? Does Arch stop NetworkManager when suspend to disk? qdbus org.kde.kded /modules/networkstatus org.kde.Solid.Networking.Client.Status == 1 means some program has marked the system as Unconnected (offline), usually it is networkstatus that does that. Restarting kded4 helps with this problem because the networkstatus module tries to detect the network status when kded4 starts. Networkstatus has three backends: NetworkManager, Wicd and NTrack. NTrack is the fallback backend (if it is was compiled) and as so it is used only when neither NetworkManger nor Wicd are running. I can say NTrack is the most problematic of those three. If you have NTrack installed I suggest that you recompile kde-runtime after uninstalling NTrack. There is no other way to disable the NTrack backend. Enabling NTrack is a decision of the distribution, in my case Gentoo does not enable NTrack and I do not need it anyway since I use NetworkManager. Do do not mess with the configuration in systemsettings -> Information Sources. Use the correct backend (usually NetworkManager 0.9 or Wicd) and that is it. If you change from NM to Wicd (or vice-versa) change the backend in Information Source or your network support is going to be unstable or even not work at all. Never run too network management software (NM, Wicd, ifplugd, etc) at the same time, choose only one and disable all the others. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Hi, I would like to add holiday for Serbia in KDE calendar. I read directions from http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=67&t=90320#p170820 (bit old post I know). Here is a link from one of Serbian government's websites with complete calendar: http://www.minrzs.gov.rs/cms/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=336 Unfortunately, there is no English version on the website. What also is missing are Ortodox holidays when people who celebrate it have day off: http://sr.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%A1%D0%BF%D0%B8%D1%81%D0%B0%D0%BA_%D0%BA%D1%80%D1%81%D0%BD%D0%B8%D1%85_%D1%81%D0%BB%D0%B0%D0%B2%D0%B0 I m here to help out in translation and whatever it needs to get Serbian calendar into KDE. Here is also one holiday calendar that one member of Ubuntu Serbia made back in 2010. Might be helpful so I am adding it in attach. I am not sure if the format is same so I didn't edit it without consulting here. Serbia uses Cyrillic (official) and Latin. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294673 S. Burmeister changed: What|Removed |Added CC||sven.burmeis...@gmx.net --- Comment #4 from S. Burmeister --- I can confirm this on openSUSE with 4.8.1. Kmail cannot open emails forwarded by itself. It does not matter whether the email is part of an imap account or moved to a local folder. To reproduce just forward an email as attachment with kmail to yourself, click on the "forwarded message" link in the received email and pick "open with kmail view". It will tel you that the file does not contain a message. If you use the email structure pane you can access the forwarded email.
