If I fetch emails in kmail, mysqld (parent process is akonadiserver) uses full

from hrvojes) and having email feeder and strigi indexer activated.

For me as well. Maybe it is a good idea for the maintainers of the KDE48-repo
to update the four soprano-packages...otherwise the 'stable' KDE48 remains
broken

The bug is gone in 4.8.3. But only because the functionality seems to be
removed.

I just created another addressbook and also activated in in kaddressbook. Then
I've added one contact as described. Instead of the dialogue asking for the
addressbook, there was only a notification that told me to look at kaddressbook
to see the newly added contact.

[Bug 302186] New: Wish: Remove or add mail's reference header to change thread grouping of messages

2012-06-19 Thread Björn Hendriks
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302186

Bug ID: 302186
  Severity: wishlist
   Version: unspecified
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Wish: Remove or add mail's reference header to change
thread grouping of messages
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: k...@bhendriks.de
  Hardware: Debian testing
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: message list
   Product: kmail2

KMail has the nice feature to aggregate messages by thread. As far as I can see
this is mainly done by the References: header of the mails.

Unfortunately, it happens every now and then that unexperienced mailing list
users start a new discussion thread by answering to an existing mail. This
inserts a wrong reference to another thread and, of course, KMail appends the
offending mail to that thread. Less often -- to my experience -- it happens
vice versa, i. e., a user continues a thread without answering, so the correct
reference gets lost and KMail shows that message as start of a new thread.

It would be nice to have a context menu item to locally correct the broken
thread grouping in both cases. The easier one would probably be a menu item
ungroup which removes the wrong References: header and moves the message to
be a new thread head.

Less important -- but also nice -- would be a group menu item which offers to
select another message, inserts that as (additional) reference message and
moves the message accordingly.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Choose a well populated message list
2. Configure it to be grouped by thread (seems to be standard if not changed)
3. View all headers of a message not at head of thread and see References:
header
Actual Results:
References: contains one or several message-IDs of messages further up the
thread or none if message is head of thread.

Expected Results:
See details

This wish is about my KMail 1.13.7 of my up-to-date Debian Testing
installation. Please ignore if KMail2 has already such a feature. The report
interface didn't offer to select kmail1.

[Bug 302193] New: stopping akonadiserver takes too long

2012-06-19 Thread Martin Tlustos
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302193

Bug ID: 302193
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.8
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: stopping akonadiserver takes too long
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: martin.tlus...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: server
   Product: Akonadi

My akonadi setup has 3 imap, several caldav resources, a google address
resource and some local resources. Lots of emails, appointments etc.
Manually stopping akonadiserver (through akonaditray) takes very long, about
1/2 minute, up to 1 minute. This also delays shutdown and logout of kde.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create several resources with many emails, appointments, contacts etc.
2. Tell akonadiserver to stop (through akonaditray)
3. wait... and wait... and wait... ;-)
Actual Results:
You have to wait for too long.

Expected Results:
akonadiserver should stop within a few seconds.
