Can confirm this with my ownCloud Server.

Android also generates a Status=Cancelled for a single recurrence ID. The
Payload of the ics is as follows:

BEGIN:VEVENT
CREATED:20120803T071001Z
LAST-MODIFIED:20120803T071029Z
DTSTAMP:20120803T071029Z

SUMMARY:Test Event
RRULE:FREQ=DAILY;UNTIL=20120817T08Z;INTERVAL=2
DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20120806T10
DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20120806T11
LOCATION:asdf
END:VEVENT

BEGIN:VEVENT
LAST-MODIFIED:20120803T071316Z
UID:d9833f16-a0ea-4855-9404-add90e165e98
SUMMARY:Test Event
STATUS:CANCELLED
RECURRENCE-ID:20120810T08Z
DTSTART;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20120810T10
DTEND;TZID=Europe/Berlin:20120810T11
TRANSP:OPAQUE
SEQUENCE:1
END:VEVENT

So the exception is not stored as an EXDATE but rather as a single, additional
event with the same UID that only references that specific recurrence. Maybe
that is where the problem lies? Does KCalCore discard additional events with
the same UID?

I'm sad it is still reproducible.

Dirk, do you use an online imap account? Can you set up a disconnected resource
for the same account and try there? You can even do it as a different KDE user,
just to not mess up your current configuration. The only thing you need to do
is that when you add the IMAP account to KMail, select Enable Disconnected Mode
on the Advanced tab.

Yes, it is an online account. I tried with another and I can confirm that with
this user filtering works fine with an offline account and does not with an
online account. However, with my other account, after enabling offline mode and
disabling it again, I can't get the filtering to work anymore (that is:
filter's are not applied although they're activated).

Maybe I'll recreate that account completely and see what happens...

[Bug 304172] Plasma crashes on opening the Desktop settings

2012-08-03 Thread Christian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304172

--- Comment #8 from Christian joulupukin.ton...@yandex.ru ---
Another piece of info. I tried if this is related to any of my user's settings.
I tried this by logging in with a user that has never logged in to KDE before.
(I.e., Switch user, this opened a new work screen, then log in there as a
different user.)

Then I tried to change the desktop settings from that account.

The same plasma crash happens also there.

[Bug 304507] New: sender avatar not displayed

2012-08-03 Thread Charles Figura
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304507

Bug ID: 304507
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.8.4
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
   Summary: sender avatar not displayed
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: charles.fig...@wartburg.edu
  Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: UI
   Product: kmail2

I have a number of avatars/images set for individuals in my addressbook. Some
number of versions ago these were displayed automatically on emails from these
individuals, but they haven't shown up for at least two versions.

I see that kmail2 still notes that addressbook avatars are still supposed to be
displayed, but I can't figure out how to make that happen.

[Bug 304511] New: Akregator and KMail notification icons do not open the correct Kontact components when clicked to restore window (4.8.3)

2012-08-03 Thread Christian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304511

Bug ID: 304511
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.8.3
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Akregator and KMail notification icons do not open the
correct Kontact components when clicked to restore
window (4.8.3)
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: joulupukin.ton...@yandex.ru
  Hardware: Gentoo Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: general
   Product: kontact

I usually have Kontact running with no window (i.e. I close the window with
Alt-F4), the only thing that shows are the icons for Kagregator and Kmail in
the notification area. I can click on the icon to restore the window of
Kontact.
However, whether I click on the KAkgregator or the KMail icon, it does not
matter which one I choose, I always get Kontact in the view that was used
previously. (Even if it's a view that has nothing to do with Kagregator or
Kmail.)

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make the Kontacts window disappear.
2. Click on the Kagregator icon. (Or on the Kmail icon.)

Actual Results:
Kontacts opens but ignores which icon I clicked.

Expected Results:
Kontact should open to the view of Kagregator (or KMail), depending on what I
clicked.

[Bug 304518] New: Suggestion. Kmail notification icon to show count of messages in favourite folders only

2012-08-03 Thread Christian

Bug ID: 304518
  Severity: wishlist

messages in favourite folders only
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: joulupukin.ton...@yandex.ru

Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: general
   Product: kmail2

There is already an option in the KMail configuration (Appearance: System tray)
regarding whether to show the KMail icon, and whether to show it only when
unread messages. The icon also shows the count of unread messages.

Can you add an option to choose whether the count represents unread messages in
all folders, or unread folders in only the favourite folders?

Reproducible: Didn't try

[Bug 287685] Message list does not reflect folder after using folder filter box.

2012-08-03 Thread Philipp Woelfel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=287685

--- Comment #5 from Philipp Woelfel woel...@gmx.net ---
I'm a bit confused by the original bug report. Here is what happens on my
system:

If I enter something in the *folder* filter (the one that is by default not
turned out, but you can turn it on in the preferences), the *message* list gets
corrupted. I.e., after selecting a new folder from the ones that are still
visible when the filter is on, the messages that are shown in the message list
do not correspond to the selected folder. Sometimes, the message list seems to
show a mix of messages from the selected folder and some other folder (the one
that was active before I entered something in the filter field). This behavior
does not change even once I clear the filter. The only way to get back to a
normal behavior is by restarting kmail2.

[Bug 304525] New: Auto-suggesting contacts from address book using nicknames fails for first search

I have several contacts in my addressbook who I know best from their nicknames,
which are also recorded in their contacts. When searching for them by nickname,
initially they do not appear: however, after searching for them through their
display name/E-mail address, and having them successfully appear as an
auto-complete suggestion, searching for them by nickname successfully suggests
them for auto-completion.
