Works for me with 4.9.1 openSUSE packages. Hence it's probably a config issue
or a different bug which causes your trouble.

Oh and for the record: the KDE4 build system must work with CMake 2.6.4. I
That is only means that generation of KdepimLibsConfig.cmake must be refactored
(i.e. reinvented a wheel) or it is time to upgrade cmake requirement...

[Bug 306452] New: kmail account configuration is much too complicated - so called akonadi ressouces should be created in the background

2012-09-08 Thread Gernot Wieprecht
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306452

Bug ID: 306452
  Severity: wishlist
   Version: 4.8.3
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: kmail account configuration is much too complicated -
so called akonadi ressouces should be created in the
background
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: ol...@anderszeit.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: general
   Product: kmail2

For me the account configuration of Kmail seems to be very complicated and
longwinded. Why do I have to create some obscure akonadi-ressources? This
should happen in the background, automatically. The user should only enter his
account data and kmail should do all the rest - like other mail applications do
it. The user should not need to care about databases, storage places and
storage ways.

Reproducible: Always

[Bug 306456] New: Feature Request: Some help in using the RegExps in ReplyPrefixes/ForwardPrefixes

2012-09-08 Thread Jonas.Bechtel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306456

Bug ID: 306456
  Severity: wishlist
   Version: 4.8.4
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Feature Request: Some help in using the RegExps in
ReplyPrefixes/ForwardPrefixes
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: jonas.bech...@web.de
  Hardware: openSUSE RPMs
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: config dialog
   Product: kmail2

I have an friend which replies every message with Antwort: instead of the
usual version Re: . Most mail clients don't recognize that, and i thought
that of kmail too and wrote mails like Re: Antwort: Re: Antwort: Subject.
When I discovered the configurable prefix recognition, I was a bit helpless how
to describe the new prefix:
- Do I have to add an blank/whitespace expression after : ?
- Does the prefix work? (Ok, I made that with sending me test messages. But
that doesn't make fun when testing a more complicated prefix)
- Which RegExp implementation is used (as you might find there some helpful
specs)?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
To invoke the config page, invoke the config dialog, select Editor page and
activate tab Subject

That's more an idea how to improve usability without reducing the configuration
possibilities, not an urgent wish.

positions were shuffled around.

[Bug 306323] [kdepimlibs] missed boost dependency in KdepimLibsConfig.cmake.in

2012-09-08 Thread Andreas K . Huettel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306323

--- Comment #30 from Andreas K. Huettel dilfri...@gentoo.org ---
the three possible solutions are:

a) fix boost header location in Gentoo (which is what Christophe wants us to
do). Since Gentoo still wants to support multiple concurrent Boost
installations, and since FindBoost.cmake actually finds everything correctly,
this is not going to happen.

b) add a FindBoost call to the CMakeLists.txt file of *every* kde app that uses
kdepimlibs (this is how Christophe wants to work around the problem for kde sc
apps, see comment 24)

c) add the one-line patch to kdepimlibs build system that records and
re-exports boost include location for the boost that kdepimlibs was compiled
against.

On the whole this bug is a neat example how people dont read or dont bother to
think through what others write, and resort to nitpicking instead.

Since we're unwilling to patch every single application using kdepimlibs, we'll
probably end up applying Alex's patch locally.
