[Bug 306534] filter does not apply systematically on sent messages

2012-09-10 Thread Daniel Moyne
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306534

I had a hard time to uderstand what "import" does ; whe I click on it a dialog
box opens apparently to get a target but with an empty field with no file type
; I suggest here to start first with the selection of the filters to iport
before opening the dialog box with a name that can be built from the filter
selection for example filter1,..." with the file type on text ; add also on the
edited filter "Export this filter" which is what the people need most of the
time.

Here is what I get

Actually you can't do that out of the box...
but you can change the akregatorplugin.desktop file

Look for X-KDE-KontactPartLoadOnStart=false and change the value to 'true'

[Bug 305897] Kontact-4.8.3 fails to update the Akregator feeds when starting

2012-09-10 Thread Christian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=305897

I see. On my settings, I have it to "always start with overview" (yhteenveto -
not sure which word is used in the English version).
If I understand correctly, although Kontact is set to "always start with
overview", it still updates the email accounts when I start kontact. It also
shows me the relevant information on calendar and to-do list when I open the
overview page. Now, whereas I agree that there is no "Feeds" section on the
overview page, i.e. no need to update the feeds to be able to show the
overview, I want to have the feeds updated when I start kontact. And I want
kontact to start with the overview, not the feeds view. If I want the Feeds
view first, I would not start Kontact, I would start the Akgregator.
How can I do that?

Tested on Windows 7 with a build of master from 3.August 2012

- Application can not be moved-> still broken
- Locking and unlocking -> works for resize
- Keep above and below -> works
- Taskbar icon -> works
- Right clicking the application icon -> works the same as with other
applications
- show notes in taskbar -> still no effect but should be removed for windows as
this is handled centrally by the OS.
- remember desktop no longer shown -> works
- Mail option using kmail is ok imho as knotes and kmail are in the same
package but this is arguable

I've opened https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306557 for the "Moving around"
issue so that this "multibug" can be resolved.

[Bug 306555] New: Kmail fails consistently when saving a composed mail as a draft

2012-09-10 Thread Peder Chr . Nørgaard
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306555

Bug ID: 306555
  Severity: crash

  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Kmail fails consistently when saving a composed mail
as a draft
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: p...@pogt.dk
  Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: general
   Product: kmail2

Application: kmail (4.8.4)
KDE Platform Version: 4.8.4 (4.8.4)
Qt Version: 4.8.1
Operating System: Linux 3.2.0-30-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 12.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:

I was writing a very simple mail, then hitting Alt-F4 and the "Save as Draft"
button. First time the mail was quite complex - I tried several times and I
can still reproduce the bug when I have virtually no data typed into the mail -
just a "To:" and a "Subject: ", a non-standard choice of submitter and the
pulled-in related .signature.

The fault reproduces consistently.

The crash can be reproduced every time.

The akregator plugin is not loaded automatically when kontact is started.
Actually that's the expected behaviour.

A way to work around this: in the Kontact settings, check "Always start with
plugin" and select "Feeds"

[Bug 306531] New: Re-opening draft e-mail with attached HTML file edits that file's content, loses previous mail body

2012-09-10 Thread Ronny Multrus
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=306531

Bug ID: 306531
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.9.1
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Re-opening draft e-mail with attached HTML file edits
that file's content, loses previous mail body
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: k...@ronino.de
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: composer
   Product: kmail2

I created an e-mail with an attached HTML file and saved it as a draft. When I
opened it for re-editing and sending, the previous mail body text was gone and
the attached file's content was displayed as editable content instead. Saving
the mail again as draft loses the original mail body text.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new e-mail with some body text
2. attach an HTML file
3. save it as a draft
4. re-open the draft mail for editing/sending
Actual Results:
Mail body is gone, HTML file's content contained in editor as editable instead

Expected Results:
Mail body text as entered before, correctly attached files
