Is the calendar usually displayed with an IMAP-Server icon? I have an IMAP
account with the name "Google", something that contains contacts with the name
"Google" and something that contains nothing with my GMail address as the name.
All of them carry IMAP-Server icon.

Don't call cancelTask() when an invalid collection is given

The behavior introduced by 0ecdc1c34082224fff5f360b2d6c9a7bfe8c7ac3
caused a spurrious notification at each sync. Now just return
an empty items list.

Hi,

Without access to an Exchange server this will be hard to debug unfortunately
:/

If any of you can do a network capture of a full exchange between the resource
and davmail, please send it to me. Try to anonymize it as much as you can,
especially the HTTP headers that will contain the authentication data. I'm
mostly interested in the XML exchanges, not that much in the events data, so
you can scrap it altogether.

Cheers,
Grégory

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=295469

Hi Dennis,

It would help me debug the problem if you could you have a look at the items.

It's a multi-step process:
- Start 'akonadiconsole'.
- Go in the "Browser" tab, unfold the resource, then select the calendar to
view the items it contains.
- Look for an item whose 'id' is one of those you have in the error message
(111583, 111584, 111585, 111586, 111587).
- The item 'remote id' (second column) is the URL of the .ics file, open this
URL in your web browser and download the file. If you have an error here I'm
interested to hear about it too :)
- Anonymize it, but please try to preserve as much of it as you can.

Then you can attach the file to this bug report, I'll have a look at it and try
to see what the problem is.

Cheers,
Grégory

[Bug 308566] New: Using a folder while IMAP agent is offline does not load folder settings (and sometimes loses them)

2012-10-17 Thread Thiago Macieira
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308566

Bug ID: 308566
  Severity: normal
   Version: Git (master)
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Using a folder while IMAP agent is offline does not
load folder settings (and sometimes loses them)
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: thi...@kde.org
  Hardware: Compiled Sources
Status: NEW
 Component: folders
   Product: kmail2

If you enter an IMAP folder while its agent is offline (for example, due to
having no network connectivity), the per-folder settings such as aggregation
and sorting controls or the preference for HTML mail are not loaded. The folder
is displayed with some defaults loaded from somewhere else.

Worse, some of the settings are lost: at least the HTML preference is lost,
even after connecting and reloading the folder.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select an IMAP while the Akonadi agent is online
2. Change some per-folder setting, like the aggregation type, sorting order, or
preference for HTML display
3. Change folders
4. Disconnect the agent (disconnecting the network or manually placing it on
offline mode in Akonadi Console)
5. Select the folder again
Actual Results:
The folder is displayed with the folder defaults. The HTML display setting is
not respected and also reverts back to the default.

Expected Results:
The per-folder settings should have been respected, even in offline mode. The
settings are local (not stored on the server), but even if they were remote,
they could have been cached locally.

Hello.
I am taking over the maintainance of ChangeRecorderPrivate load/save, and
noticed this old bug report. I suppose it doesn't happen anymore, by now? :}

Did you keep a copy of ~/.config/akonadi/ from when the bug happened?

Otherwise I suppose there isn't much we can do to look into this bug.

[Bug 283682] KMail duplicates filtered messages

2012-10-17 Thread Alexandre Bonneau
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283682

For info, I checked if the messages were really physically duplicated in the
folders, or only in akonadi cache ; they are duplicated each 17 times
physically.
Using maildir, each mail has a distinct name like '1350381035.R668.linux',
'1350352842.R783.linux:2,S' or '1349859050.R458.linux:2,FS'.

This problem still means NOGO for use in a production environment.

[Bug 201080] The composer window does not appear when running KMail from an NX xterm session

2012-10-17 Thread Tristan Miller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=201080

Confirming problem still occurs with KDE 4.9.2. Some additional observations:

* I'm pretty sure this bug is specific to KDE on the host environment. I am
not able to reproduce it when using GNOME 2 or IceWM.

* The problem occurs only when certain windows are opened with certain actions.
The original bug report noted that the composer window fails to open when
"Reply" or "Forward" is used. I can reproduce this behaviour. However, the
composer window always appears for me when I use "New Message". Some other
windows also fail to appear, such as Settings->Configure
KMail…->Accounts->Receiving->Modify….

Could a developer indicate whether there's any difference in how the composer
window is launched between the Reply/Forward commands and the New Message
command? Perhaps different windowing API calls are used, and one of them works

[Bug 308509] Akonadi spams my desktop with useless notifcations

2012-10-17 Thread Malte S . Stretz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308509

Another note: I've been spammed by other Akonadi notifications like this before
(on 4.8 or so). So it is more a general problem of the Akonadi notifications.

Sorry, wanted to write more and hit return accidently: This isn't a duplicate
because the bug is about the useless notifications popping up on my desktop
every few minutes where I as a user have no way to fix/mute them.
