Even in kubuntu 12.04 it has the same bug.
I also believe depends on the interaction between akonadi and kwallet because
LDAP parameters I've set for access via akonadi.

Committed on 23/10/2012 at 23:40.
Pushed by winterz into branch 'master'.

Don't always recompress contact photos when saving
The patch from RB did not apply cleanly so I had to hand-patch
in a few files. I hope I didn't screwup.

Thanks for the patch Sebastian!

Perhaps using the same kind of selection system than in Dolphin would be more
coherent in the KDE suite ; hovering your mouse of the email icon would allow
the user to select/unselect the mail instead of displaying it.

[Bug 304465] Kmail-4.8.3 marks Sent emails as unread, when the Sent folder is on an IMAP account

2012-10-23 Thread Peter Muehlenpfordt
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=304465

I can confirm this for KMail 4.9.2, coming with Kubuntu 12.10.
Since upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 all messages are stored as unread in sent
folder.
(The notification can be disabled in 'Folder Properties' -> 'Act on new/unread
mail in this folder'.)

[Bug 308854] New: KMail2 is not able to connect to an imap server which uses IMAPS (port 993) with TLSv1

2012-10-23 Thread Marcel Bosling
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=308854

Bug ID: 308854
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.9.2
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: KMail2 is not able to connect to an imap server which
uses IMAPS (port 993) with TLSv1
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: marcel.bosl...@rwth-aachen.de
  Hardware: Ubuntu Packages
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: general
   Product: kmail2

The mailserver I am using (mailbox.rwth-aachen.de) uses IMAPS on port 993 with
TLSv1 for encryption. KMail2 is unable to connect to that mailbox as it may not
correctly set the SSL/TLS version (just my guess).

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create account with IMPAS for mailbox.rwth-aachen.de on port 993 with
SSL/TLS.
Actual Results:
The server is offline.

Expected Results:
The mailbox should work out-of-the-box.

Checking with "openssl s_client -connect mailbox.rwth-aachen.de -tls1" results
in being able to connect via openssl. So the connection could be established if
KMail2 would use (would be forced to use) TLSv1.
