[Bug 300472] Moving Mails between folders causes them to be recreated in source folder

2012-10-26 Thread Thomas Arend
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300472

Another comment.

I could remove the duplicate messages and copied them to the target folder.
After this I could not delete the messages in the inbox. But: They appeared in
teh pastebin.

Now I have three copies in my spam folder, the inbox and the pastebin.

I deleted the messages in pastebin and the messages in the inbox disappeared.

Now I have the messages in the folder they belong to.

Maybe this "tricky" thing is related to the filter problem, were messages are
not moved to the destination folder.

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300472

I didn't want to do some testing so excuse me for making more comments.
I moved 3 deleted messages form the paste bin back to inbox. Switching back to
inbox I found 5 messages. Two messages were duplicated, one only a singe copy.

Very strange behaviour. Seem there is something very buggy.

Not for productive use!

I have to add my comment. I deleted the messages in the target folder and they
disappeared although from the inbox. There was only one copy in the paste bin.

Seem that one message can be displayed in more than one folder.

Ok will look at. It's right I think that it's not implemented.
On my todo.

"In addition, the aggregation setting is not folder dependant. When I set
aggregation A for folder Inbox and switch to folder Trash for instance, Trash
has also aggregation A instead of its last aggregation when left."
it's right I confirm it.
I will fix it soon.

I am running 4.8.5 on Opensuse.

I have a sent folder for each IMAP account, which each has a unique identity.
Sometimes when I send mail, the sent mail will appear in the local kmail sent
folder rather than on the IMAP account.

I think this often happens when closing kmail while a compose window is open,
then restarting kmail and sending the email.

[Bug 309056] New: Dynamic filters

2012-10-26 Thread l.mierzwa

Bug ID: 309056
  Severity: wishlist
   URL: http://www.opera.com/mail/support/#views
   Version: unspecified
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
   Summary: Dynamic filters
Classification: Unclassified
OS: All
  Reporter: l.mier...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: filtering
   Product: kmail2

As much as I love KMail I sometimes really miss the times when I used Opera
email client and its dynamic filters. I never had to create mailing list
filters, Opera did that for me based on message headers, I could browse
messages from given sender by just selecting him from tree filled with my
contacts, I could quickly find messages with pictures attached and so on. The
best part was that most of those views was created by M2 itself and it if I
needed new one I could create that easily.
It would be great if KMail could provide view with only unified inbox and such
dynamic filters.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start KMail
2. Try to find few messages from John X
3.

[Bug 309039] New: Forwarding an email as text of a new email eliminates lines of the original mail

2012-10-26 Thread Ralph Moenchmeyer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309039

Bug ID: 309039
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.9.2

Summary: Forwarding an email as text of a new email eliminates

Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: r...@anracon.de
  Hardware: openSUSE RPMs
Status: UNCONFIRMED
 Component: commands and actions
   Product: kmail2

I use Kmail of KDE 4.9.2. Quite often I need to forward long mails not as an
attachment but as part of the text of a new mail. I do this by the respective
option for forwarding (as text).

Unfortunately the generated new mail does not contain all lines of the original
mail, but only around 150 lines - which of course is wrong. I could not find
any Kmail option for limiting the lines of forwarded mails. So, I regard this
as a bug.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a long new mail with more than 200 lines
2. Send it to yourself
3. Forward the received mail as text of a new mail by using the appropriate
forwarding option of Kmail
Actual Results:
The generated mail to be forwarded contains only about 150 lines of the
original mail.

Expected Results:
I expect that the generated mail to be forwarded contains the complete text of
the original email.

Still see this problem in 4.9.2. I noticed, that the line containing the
Identity for the respective folder in kmail2rc disappears when KMail is closed.
After further investigation I noticed that this happens when the resp. folder
is selected and nothing else is done. Test I performed to duplicate the
problem:

a) setup correct Identity for the folder in question using your favorite editor
in kmail2rc
b) fire-up Kontact (a different folder is selected by default)
c) select the folder in question
d) exit Kontact
e) Look at kmail2rc to verify that the Identity is gone

In case you omit c) in the above, the setting remains OK in kmail2rc.
Hopefully, this helps someone to nail this problem down. I am doing this on a
system with 2 INBOXes on two different servers using disconnected IMAP in case
this is important.
An interesting aside is, that if you look at the folder properties after c) has
been done, the setting is OK in the dialog but in case you cancel and exit the
setting is gone in the rc file.

The Filtering component is in
https://bugs.kde.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=kmail2&format=guided. Guess I didn't
notice the warning in green not to report filter bugs in kmail2 (or it wasn't
there at the time).

Please test with akonadi 1.8.1 and kmail from 4.9.2 (and better 4.9.3 when it
comes out) as well and report.

Just curious, how could you report this for KMail2/Filtering, when that product
is not enabled for new bug reports (as they should go to akonadi/mail filter
agent).

[Bug 78629] MS Exchange mail support

2012-10-26 Thread Antoine Poliakov

Antoine Poliakov changed:

+1: this is duplicate of #227672 (which is more correctly linked to Akonadi
instead of Kmail).

I also wanted to note that a quick search showed that combined, duplicates
regarding exchange/mapi support possibly via an openchange akonadi ressource
(#78629, #287984, #60120, #227672) add up to 1081 (431 + 100 + 285 + 265)
votes.
How long would it take to write a bridge between libmapi and akonadi? I code in
C++ but am not familiar with akonadi codebase or mapi protocol. Can any dev
estimate how hard/long it would be?
