After this I could not delete the messages in the inbox. But: They appeared in teh pastebin. Now I have three copies in my spam folder, the inbox and the pastebin. I deleted the messages in pastebin and the messages in the inbox disappeared. Now I have the messages in the folder they belong to. Maybe this "tricky" thing is related to the filter problem, were messages are not moved to the destination folder. I moved 3 deleted messages form the paste bin back to inbox. Switching back to inbox I found 5 messages. Two messages were duplicated, one only a singe copy. Very strange behaviour. Seem there is something very buggy. The best part was that most of those views was created by M2 itself and it if I needed new one I could create that easily. I noticed, that the line containing the Identity for the respective folder in kmail2rc disappears when KMail is closed. After further investigation I noticed that this happens when the resp. folder is selected and nothing else is done. Test I performed to duplicate the problem: a) setup correct Identity for the folder in question using your favorite editor in kmail2rc b) fire-up Kontact (a different folder is selected by default) c) select the folder in question d) exit Kontact e) Look at kmail2rc to verify that the Identity is gone In case you omit c) in the above, the setting remains OK in kmail2rc. Hopefully, this helps someone to nail this problem down. I am doing this on a system with 2 INBOXes on two different servers using disconnected IMAP in case this is important. I also wanted to note that a quick search showed that combined, duplicates regarding exchange/mapi support possibly via an openchange akonadi ressource (#78629, #287984, #60120, #227672) add up to 1081 (431 + 100 + 285 + 265) votes. How long would it take to write a bridge between libmapi and akonadi? I code in C++ but am not familiar with akonadi codebase or mapi protocol.
