[Bug 310652] New: Akonadi jobs hang in initial status when using sqlite

2012-11-25 Thread Martin Bednar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310652

Bug ID: 310652
  Severity: normal
   Version: 4.10
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Akonadi jobs hang in initial status when using
sqlite
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: seraf...@gmail.com
  Hardware: Gentoo Packages
Status: NEW
 Component: general
   Product: Akonadi

KDE-4.9.80, sqlite-3.7.14.1, akonadi-server 1.8.80 on Gentoo.
When using akonadi with SQlite, all fetching jobs get stuck in the initial
status.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create new user
2. Open akonadiconsole, watch jobs
3. set akonadi to use sqlite (default on gentoo)
4. create a new resource (DAV, IMAP, googlecontacts, or anything), sync it
5. watch jobs stuck in initial state in akonadiconsole.
Actual Results:
nothing happens, any PIM application has to be killed explicitly (UI disappears
on close, however process stays in backgroud).

Expected Results:
Almost anything else than a UI that seems to be loading but does nothing.

When switched to a mysql database, everything works fine.
WAL apparently enabled in sqlite (akonadi.db-wal exists).
Worked in 4.9.2, also happens on Chakra (sqlite-3.7.11)

[Bug 300086] Kmail goes crazy after system suspend (online/offline modes)

2012-11-25 Thread András Manţia
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=300086

Git commit 75a744dd473e57285e417456a2295400b95f9ac2 by Andras Mantia.
Committed on 25/11/2012 at 16:34.
Pushed by amantia into branch 'master'.

Honour the online/offline setting requested by a client application in every
case.
Previously it could happen that the resources were set to offline mode, but due
to an event,
like resume from suspend, or network reconnect, the resource went online.
This had bad side-effects, like downloading mails while KMail was in offline
mode.

Yes, it is a bug, that was there even in KMail1 times. :)
I CC to other bugs about offline mode, although I'm not confident it fixes
those problems.
Feel free to report success/failure for those cases.

--- Comment #5 from András Manţia aman...@kde.org ---
Git commit 5a3856c2e51f4b11ec374b3ad4214ae008e1be5e by Andras Mantia.
Committed on 25/11/2012 at 16:38.
Pushed by amantia into branch 'KDE/4.9'.

[Bug 284681] Regression: kmail2 does not offer receipients from the address book which have more than one email address

2012-11-25 Thread Gunter Ohrner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284681

--- Comment #7 from Gunter Ohrner kdeb...@customcdrom.de ---
I'm currently using KDE 4.9.3 and at the moment kMail does not provide any
address completion at all, besides searching the recently used address list.

I had Nepomuk disabled completely for quite some time, as it consumed so much
memory my computer was not usable any more while it was active and it was
pretty bug-ridden until KDE 4.9, so address completion could not work.

I recently enabled it again in KDE 4.9 and with a slightly upgraded RAM in my
notebook, but address completion unfortunately still does not work. (Nepomuk is
running, but file indexing and mail indexing are still disabled for performance
reasons and the always-reindexing-files-with-non-ASCII-characters-in-names Bug
305903 .)

I had not had the time and nerve to have a closer look at this problem so far,
but would be grateful for any pointers nonetheless...

I can always access the dialog with (1) Right-click the IMAP root entry and (2)

I click OK to close the dialog I get a notification like this:

Account name: [Could not write some new annotations from Account name to
the IMAP server]. SetAnnotation failed, server replied: A000301 BAD Unknown
command: SETANNOTATI…

So there seems to be definitely something wrong with it.

Note: The text between brackets is a translation by me, the rest was not
available in my language so it’s the actual English string.

--- Comment #8 from Bernd Oliver Sünderhauf pancho...@riseup.net ---
Nepomuk might possibly be the key.
Less than a week ago, this worked fine on my install, but now I'm experiencing
just the same as Gunter: kmail doesn't provide any addressbook items on address
completion.
Interestingly, for some reason, file indexing does not work in spite of being
enabled, while the email indexer is on.
I've no idea why Nepomuk doesn't run anymore, but will try to find out more
about it.

@Gunter: Would you please try enabling Nepomuk file indexing to check if
address completion simply depends on the indexer being enabled? Thanks in
advance!

[Bug 310673] New: Mark a folder as read-only in the folder list

2012-11-25 Thread Allen Winter
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310673

Bug ID: 310673
  Severity: wishlist
   Version: unspecified
  Priority: NOR
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
Summary: Mark a folder as read-only in the folder list
Classification: Unclassified
OS: Linux
  Reporter: win...@kde.org
  Hardware: Compiled Sources
Status: NEW
 Component: folders
   Product: kmail2

My kolab INBOX somehow had its write permission removed. When this happened I
could no longer trash or move messages from my INBOX folder.

It would be nice if KMail had somehow shown me with a visible clue that my
folder was not writable. How about putting (Read-Only) next to the folder
sorta like you do when the account is offline with the (Offline).

Reproducible: Always

[Bug 292285] Cannot specify IMAP server directory

2012-11-25 Thread Davor Cubranic
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292285

--- Comment #7 from Davor Cubranic cubra...@acm.org ---
I don't have KMail1 running any more for comparison, but KDE's own docs say
this: If you are using IMAP, you can optionally specify a path in the Prefix
to folders field [...] so that KMail does not mix up mailbox files and other
files.

That's exactly what's happened to me, and why I couldn't use KMail2, and so I
moved on to Thunderbird. Feel free to close this bug if it's a WONTFIX or add
it to the TODO list if this is something you might want to do in the future.

[Bug 302278] Message view does not respect JPEG orientation of inline images

2012-11-25 Thread Steven Robbins
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=302278

--- Comment #5 from Steven Robbins st...@sumost.ca ---
OK, so the bug remains. It's a bit confusing that this issue is marked as
resolved downstream. Could someone re-open this issue?
