[Akonadi] [Bug 255388] Kmail filters dont work in incoming mail

2013-01-11 Thread András Manţia
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=255388

Showing the messages first in inbox is a limitation of the current
architecture. The filters act when messages appear in a certain folder, namely
folders marked as inbox. There is no way at the moment to apply filters
*before* mails are put in a folder.

Another detail i found in 4.9.97:
The resource make a lot (current 38GB) of output to the .xsession-errors.

Always the same line:
akonadi_davgroupware_resource_0(2644)/akonadiserializer (addressee)
Akonadi::SerializerPluginAddressee::deserialize: Empty addressee object!

 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: tho...@arend-rhb.de

Created attachment 76406
  --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=76406&action=edit
MBOX with original e-mail and relayed message

An attached e-mail can't be opened withe the message window. Dialog reports
that the attachment does not contain a message. (Die Datei enthält keine

2. Receive the message
3. Relay the message as an attachment to yourself
4. Receive the message
5. Attachment can be viewed in the preview window
6. Attachment can't be opened with kmail-message-viewer

Saving the attached message results in an empty file (size 0).

[kmail2] [Bug 313108] New: kmail2 filter protocol does not report an identifier of the message

2013-01-11 Thread Thomas Arend
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313108

Bug ID: 313108
Summary: kmail2 filter protocol does not report an identifier
of the message
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.9.5
  Hardware: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: tho...@arend-rhb.de

The filter protocol does not report a unique identifier to the message. When
filtering a large amount of messages the filter protocol is useless because the
log entries could not be related to a specific message.

I propose that the filter protocol should report first the message id of the
parsed message as a reference to the message.

I confirm that all messages show up first in the inbox. It seem that they are
sorted first to the inbox and the filters are applied later. I would expect
that an incoming message is parsed by the filters first. I get some hundred
messages a day. Parsing first would save a lot processing power.

I think I have the same, a similar problem. I have set up several filters to
move messages to separate folders. Sometimes an incoming mail is filtered,
sometimes not. Applying the filter manually usually helps. This could be
annoying.

Furthermore I don't understand why filtered/moved messages show first up in the
inbox folder after all. This was working much better with the old kmail.

[kmail2] [Bug 313083] New: Deleting 'last search' folder destroys the messages listed from the system

2013-01-11 Thread Peter H Nancarrow
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=313083

Bug ID: 313083
Summary: Deleting 'last search' folder destroys the messages
listed from the system
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.9.2
  Hardware: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: peter.h.nancar...@skogen.co.uk

Having had a persistent 'Last Search' folder I decided to delete it, and the
pop-up window assured me that if I did delete the folder, the listed messages
would still continue to exist in their original locations. I therefore deleted
the folder, but found that the original messages had been deleted also. This
has happened twice now. For your information, my Linux platform is PCLinuxOS
2013 running on a desktop PC.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Implement search
2. Close KMail2, and re-start
3. Delete 'last search' folder
Actual Results:
As described above

Expected Results:
Should have deleted the search results folder, but left the original messages
intact.

[kaddressbook] [Bug 311507] label printing

2013-01-11 Thread Martin Tlustos
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311507

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=290249 is a similar request. There is no
software for KDE right now that can do label printing. You can either use
glabels (works well, but is Gnome), or Libreoffice, which is rather difficult
to use for this purpose. Koffice used to be able to do it, but can't anymore.

I use 4.10 rc2 (4.9.97). So I changed version to 4.10. I did not confirm
the bug, because for me
it happened when I canceled the login and not as the original reported wrote
during sync and kontact was not crashing.

[Akonadi] [Bug 309346] Kontakt crashed when synchronizing gmail

2013-01-11 Thread Achim Bohnet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=309346

When I closed the bug report wizard the same dialog pop up again.

The server for account "Google (alleehol)" refused the supplied username and
password. Do you want to go to the settings, have another attempt at logging
in, or do nothing?

Login failed, server replied: A02 NO Application-specific password
required: http://support.google.com/accounts/bin/answer.py?answer=185833 (
Failure ) [ ALERT ]

I did 'cancel' again and this time no crash but the expected in notification:

Resource Google (alleehol) is broken. This resource is now offline

So a new created imap akonadi resource worked as expected.

New crash information added by DrKonqi

akonadi_imap_resource (4.9) on KDE Platform 4.9.97 using Qt 4.8.3

- What I was doing when the application crashed:

After resume from RAM, I noticed ~ 20 minutes later that a dialog was shown
that google mail refused the login data. As I had no time I didn't choose
'retry' or 'account data' but I clicked on cancel. Some seconds later the
crash report assistant was shown.

- Unusual behavior I noticed:

Since 4.10 beta: whenever I login, the automatic login to my e-mail 4 imap
accounts stopped working (gmail, t-online.de, dovecot (at work) and a 4th
imap at gwdg). I've always to enter the password in a dialog for each of the
imap accounts (the same passwords as stored in the wallet :-( )

2013-01-11 Thread Simon Williams
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264383

The supplied patch should solve the problem with mysqlcheck, but a similar
change needs to be made for mysqladmin.

I'm concerned that there may be other client processes that we're missing. I've
checked through the akonadi source and can't see any. How does Akonadi interact
with the server once it is set up?

>From what I can work out, it seems to use QMYSQL_EMBEDDED. I have no idea if
that reads my.cnf or not.
