In these two feeds I often observe lack of author information in the "Author" column in feed view in Akregator. One example is Matthew Garrett's blog on Planet GNOME. I found out that in the articles without author information there are indeed no author nodes under the entry node in the Atom XML, but there is author node in the source node. After reading fragment of RFC 4287 [4.2.1], I came to conclusion that this is Akregator's or, more presicely, the underlying library's fault. If an atom:entry element does not contain atom:author elements, then the atom:author elements of the contained atom:source element are considered to apply. In an Atom Feed Document, the atom:author elements of the containing atom:feed element are considered to apply to the entry if there are no atom:author elements in the locations described above. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add http://planet.gnome.org/atom.xml feed to Akregator. 2. Fetch it. 3. Look at the "Author" column. There is no author information in some articles. Actual Results: There is no author information in some articles. I have Kontact permanently running and do not close it prior shutting down so it gets automatically restored on restart. However, these mentioned settings only get properly persisted when I manually close Kontact. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Change any layout property of any of the plugins or activate / deactivate a calendar or addressbook 2. Shutdown PC / KDE 3. Restart Actual Results: The applied changes are lost. Expected Results: Kontact should persist these changes right away so a forceful shutdown does not discard them. Removing the resource and adding it again did not solve the problem. I hesitate to wipe the whole database, since I have quite a lot of resources... Akonadi has been upgraded a few times inbetween, no change. Currently running stable opensuse-KDE-4.10 packages. On thing I notice: when using 'aknadiresource' I can temporarily fix this issue (reanimate for the time being) by chosing 'Toggle Online/Offline' whilst the resource hangs. Currently I have to do this _two_ times: after the first times the display changes, another folder is said to be synced but things still hang. Note that the resource is still marked as 'online', although I clicked to switch to offline. After the second click the display changes again: still online, but now it simply says 'Ready' and then starts to sync fine after maybe 2-3 seconds. I have the impression that 2 or 3 agents are running in parallel, both being somehow blocked?!?
