[kontact] [Bug 315875] New: no sync-Button in the toolbar
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=315875 Bug ID: 315875 Summary: no sync-Button in the toolbar Classification: Unclassified Product: kontact Version: unspecified Platform: Debian stable OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: tu...@notraces.net In a newly created kde-profile there is no sync-button like it was in kde 3.x. Only a "Check Mail" button in kmail is found on the toolbar. In the calendar, todo and contacts componant it doesn't apear at all and there is no way to find the button while trying configure toolbar. The Problem apeared in kontact 4.47 (debian squeeze) and is still present in version 4.4.11 (in debian testing). Profiles which resulted from an updated kde 3.x-version still show the sync-button. Responsible are two missing lines in .kde/share/config/kmailrc ~ [Groupware] Enabled=true ~ After adding the two lines to .kde/share/config/kmailrc the buttons to sync korganizer, kmail, and kabc in the kontact container. But there is no possibility to configure this via the frontend - neither it is enabled by default. There is one side-effect of adding these lines manually: The function-key F5 is now ambigous: It's assigned to "syncing the current folder" and to "sync all". Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. start kontact from an free fresh home-profile (e.g. rm or renameyour .kde/ dir) 2. there are no sync-buttons in the components 3. adding the line Enabled=true in .kde/share/config/kmailrc (like described in the Details) it appears. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kontact] [Bug 314772] Kontact loses settings and layout changes when KDE shuts down
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=314772 --- Comment #1 from Thomas Iguchi --- This bug is especially a nuisance since one of my most important calendars is hosted online on an ownCloud server. The calendar gets randomly deactivated from time to time (checkmark is automatically removed from the checkbox and I really have not the slightest clue why). When I happen to notice that problem it does not suffice to just check that box again. I need to check it, close Kontact start it again and hope for the best. But unfortunately another unrelated bug makes calendar notifications in Kontact also pretty much useless. Your computer needs to be switched on at the point in time the appointment notification kicks in. It does not notify you about alarms that started slightly in the past. Kontact used to work years ago. I could rely on not missing a single calendar event notification. Also simple stuff like email recipient auto-completion used to work. Kontact felt solid, reliable and well-made. [nepomuk] [Bug 294320] kmail complains about the semantic destkop not running, when it is
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=294320 Markus changed: What|Removed |Added CC||bugs@markus.valtin.net --- Comment #14 from Markus --- I can confirm this problem in KDE 4.10 (Kubuntu 12.04) too. However I think it is not a KMail bug per se. This happens sometimes after a system freeze which happens here from time to time (no idea why). However this crash corrupts a nepomuk transaction file: .kde/share/apps/nepomuk/repository/main/data/virtuosobackend/soprano-virtuoso.trx Deleting that file and restarting (for me the easiest way to restart all of nepomuk / kmail / akonadi ) always solves the issue. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
