[Akonadi] [Bug 317767] owncloud syncing fails if contact contains messenger information

2013-04-10 Thread m.wege
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317767

I tried this, unfortunately I get:

-- The following REQUIRED packages have not been found:

 * Akonadi (required version = 1.9.51) , Akonadi server libraries ,
http://pim.kde.org/akonadi
Access to PIM storage and services
I have Akonadi installed, but an older version (the one which comes with
4.10.2). Is there a way to circumvent this?

Debugging suggestions from
http://lists.kde.org/?l=kde-pimm=136544564201632w=2:

- check akonadiconsole debugger and debug output for retrieval errors

- unread count updates, so we can assume monitor signals arrive from the
server, might still be worth checking if they make it out of Akonadi::Monitor
or if they are filtered out (gdb or debug output in Monitor or maybe even
better in ETM)

- use GammaRay to check if the items don't exist in ETM or if they are dropped
somewhere above that in the proxy stack

2013-04-10 Thread m.wege
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317767

ok, unfortunately appears is the right word. I have two laptops which sync the
same address book to KDE from owncloud. One of the runs the KDE 4.10.2 package
from the sync client, the other one the package which I have compiled from your
instructions.
The one which I have compiled from your instructions. The later one shows the
contact showing the messenger information which missed before. But the 4.10.2
package shows more contacts. Is it difficult to find out which the exact
reasons are:
- It is missing a contact with an identical lastname
- It is missing 4 out of 8 contacts with the same name
- It appears to be missing contacts which just contain the name, nothing more.
- Contacts which have set to have Preferedtextformat set, have this information
resynced into custom-fields and the information is missing in its original
place.
- the name contains a German umlaut, which might be a helpful information
- one of the missing contacts has a in the organisation field, also might
be helpful.
In another example-search:
- one of the missing contacts has Name of the spouse-field synced to
own-fields as X-SPOUSENAME
- It seems like in general contacts with the full identical name are not synced
anymore.
I release that this might be a new bug or even bugs, but since this fixed
revealed or caused them, I thought it might make sense to start here.

Please reopen!
If I understand the original problem right, the sent folder _is_ correctly
specified, but the messages aren't uploaded to the server.

I do have this problem as well (with just one of my IMAP accounts). It happens
with messages that have flags set which the IMAP server doesn't support (f.e.
$SENT, which is bad in this case as kmail/akonadi sets this for sent messages).
Those messages only get stored in the akonadi database and are never uploaded
to the server (because the server rejects them, I guess)

This is related with bug 291332, I would say.

I'm not able to reliably reproduce this issue, but it happens from time to

[Akonadi] [Bug 274799] akonadi_imap_resource hangs while syncing Inbox

2013-04-10 Thread Christian Reiner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=274799

--- Comment #8 from Christian Reiner f...@christian-reiner.info ---
I installed a completely new system over the last days, openSUSE-12.3.
I am now running KDE_4.10 form the openSUSE repo KDE:Release.410 and did NOT
restore any data whatsover from a previous system. Instead I configured my PIM
ressources from scratch.

As a result I have a fully functional system (as expected), BUT:
the issue I described above on 2013-02-09 exists with exactly the same
symptoms: all works fine for some time, but sooner or later an imap resource
with suddenly hang (no error) and stay locked, no matter how long you wait
(well, I waited 2 hours...). Only when I restart akonadi or use the procedure
sketched above: toggling the ressource to offline _twice_ I can get it to sync
again. Then it works fine, until the next hang.
I checked on server side and failed to see any suspicious message in the imap
servers logs.

This might be related to the message storage sort order settings.

I have what looks like this problem when the message sort order is set to '
none (storage order)' (to reproduce right click on a column header in the
message list -- sorting -- check 'none (storage order)'. When there are new
mails in a folder setting to 'storage order' makes them disappear from the
message list. By a new mail is one which has arrived since kmail/kontact was
last restarted. If some of the messages are unread the number of unread mails
still shows up in the folder list.

If I set the storage order to 'by date/time', the new messages (read and
unread) show up in the message list.

This seems to happen in all folders, the inbox and ones where message are moved
to be filters.

[kdepim] [Bug 318136] New: kde-base/kdepim-runtime-4.10.1 nepomukfeeder agent failed compile

2013-04-10 Thread daiajo

Bug ID: 318136
   Summary: kde-base/kdepim-runtime-4.10.1 nepomukfeeder agent
failed compile
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kdepim
   Version: 4.10
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
   URL: http://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=464510
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: libkdepim
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: dai...@gmail.com

This compile error aborted the install:
kdepim-runtime-4.10.1/agents/nepomukfeeder/nepomukfeederagent.cpp:66: error:
using typename outside of template

Line 66 of nepomukfeederagent.cpp is
typedef QSharedPointer QMultiHash typename Akonadi::Collection::Id, typename
Akonadi::Item::Id  MultiHashPointer;

My understanding of the C++ language specification is that the typename
keyword can only be used in an actual template definition. The above line is
not, its a typedef.

I changed this line:
66c66
 typedef QSharedPointer QMultiHash Akonadi::Collection::Id,
Akonadi::Item::Id  MultiHashPointer;
---
 typedef QSharedPointer QMultiHash typename Akonadi::Collection::Id,
 typename Akonadi::Item::Id  MultiHashPointer;

and finished installing the package manually without errors.
I believe the existing line with the typename is faulty, but will pass by some
compilers.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. emerge -1 kde-base/kdepim-runtime
2.
3.

To do it just do:
cd /wherever/kdepim-runtime

git pull
cd ../build
make
sudo make install

[Akonadi] [Bug 317767] owncloud syncing fails if contact contains messenger information

2013-04-10 Thread m.wege
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=317767

Ok, something changed. It shows more contacts, but not all. Unfortunately I
have to compare it with owncloud directly, because my second laptop with 4.10.2
(Ubuntu Raring) without compiled package received an upgerade which appears to
have contained your earlies fixes.
Comparing with owncloud:
- Duplicate Full names are still not shown. Although the criteria may not be
the fact that they are duplicate, but that they only contain name + picture
(the origin of these is are Facebook-contacts from Android).
- MAILPREFEREDFORMATING, BLOGFEED, Y-SPOUSENAME, X-IMADRESS appear as custom
headers, but appart from X-SPOUSENAME the information is also displayed where
it should be.
Generally it has improved :-)

(In reply to comment #8)
After a quick read of the relevant RFCs this is optimistic, and ownCloud
includes an invalid one that's used by the resource in subsequent calls.

FWIW the invalid ETag issue has been fixed for oC 5.0.4 by not returning
anything on creation as the vCard may be altered in the process. Subsequent
requests will return a correct ETag.
Sorry for the trouble it may have caused.

And thanks for giving me my contacts back Grégory :)
