[kontact] [Bug 319254] New: kontact crashes when closing tray icon after suspend/resume

2013-05-03 Thread Sven Eden
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319254

Bug ID: 319254
Summary: kontact crashes when closing tray icon after
suspend/resume
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kontact
   Version: 4.10.2
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: sven.e...@gmx.de

Application: kontact (4.10.2)
KDE Platform Version: 4.10.2 (Compiled from sources)
Qt Version: 4.8.4
Operating System: Linux 3.8.10-geek x86_64
Distribution (Platform): Gentoo Packages

-- Information about the crash:
Note: Due to bug 310151 I had to search manually for possible duplicates but
couldn't find any. I Apologize if I missed any duplicates.

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Closed kontact and shut down akonadi (forgot that I had enabled that tray icon)
and put my laptop to sleep. (suspend to ram)
When I woke the laptop up, I saw that akonadi was restarted and shut it down
again.
After that I right-clicked the kmail icon and exited kontact.

First Dr.Konqi showed up with this report telling me that kontact crashed, and
after a few seconds plasma crashed.

Unfortunately the second backtrace didn't yield any valuable data although my
complete (!) system is compiled with debugging information.

- Custom settings of the application:
This is a complete new user account!

[kmail2] [Bug 319258] New: email search in kmail is not working at all

2013-05-03 Thread Philipp
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319258

Bug ID: 319258
Summary: email search in kmail is not working at all
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.10.2
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: philipp_foers...@yahoo.com

Searching for emails with the find messages dialog doesn't return any results.
No error messages displayed.
Nepomuk is enabled, email indexing as well.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open kmail
2. open find messages
3. enter search terms
4. click search
Actual Results:
nothing

Expected Results:
display emails i searched for

i had some problems with the file indexing as well, so i deleted the whole
nepomuk database. file indexing is working fine now, but it didn't change
anything for the described kmail bug.

[kleopatra] [Bug 257086] It will not allow me to configure kleopatra.

2013-05-03 Thread Andre Heinecke
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257086

--- Comment #5 from Andre Heinecke aheine...@intevation.de ---
Do you have some other KDE software installed? Kontact for example or stuff
from the KDE-Windows installer? There might be a conflict.

Can you try moving the folder %APPDATA%\.kde to some other location and start
kleopatra afterwards. If this fixes your problem then your system configuration
most likely got corrupted somehow and kleopatra tried to load the wrong
configuration plugins.

No matter what terms I enter into the fields I don't get any results.
For example: I select search in all folders, complete message contains f.
There are hundreds of messages that contain the letter f in my folders. I don't
get a single result.

Make sure there is no text in the 'search' field. That turned out to be

I think this is a duplicate of 206331.

  https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=206331

I do not think this is a duplicate because of the fact the messages do not
 show
up if one switches to another feed.

So I selected other feed and then got back to feed A -- this time akregator
shown 2 new messages at top of the list.

I have this problem with Kubuntu 13.04 so I wonder if there are any news. At
the moment I can not use Akregator.

I just tried deleting all nepomuk data and config files. I then rebooted and
still got the same problem. could there be a problem with akonadi? there is a
control module in akonadi that is called nepomuk feeder. I can't add it tough
it is greyed out.

[kmail2] [Bug 319277] New: Changing filter settings results in mail filter agent being stuck at 0%

2013-05-03 Thread piedro
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319277

Bug ID: 319277
Summary: Changing filter settings results in mail filter agent
being stuck at 0%
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.10.2
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: config dialog
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: piedro.kul...@googlemail.com

Everytime I change any setting in the filter configuration window and confirm
with apply or ok the mail filter agent shows activity in the status bar
(right bottom progress bar). But the progress bar stays at 0 % - obviously
stuck there and causes manual filters not to work anymore.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open the filter configuration dialog from the extras menu
2. set up a filter or change an existing one in some respect
3. close the dialog confirming your entry with ok
Actual Results:
The filter agent shows a progress of 0% and gets stuck at this point

Expected Results:
I shouldn't see any filter activity, the only action regarding to filters has
been changing the configuration

When closing kmail2 and the kmail2 notification icon in the system control
panel, then restarting kmail2 again - kmail2 now starts working again, filters
also as far as I can see ...

Indeed this directory is not empty. :-)
I have kde-win installed and there are data from some games there (kbattleship,
kblocks, kmahjongg, kpat, and of course khelpcenter).

I moved all the directories there to another location temporarilly but this
didn't solved the problem.
Kleopatra keeps crashing.

[Akonadi] [Bug 319289] New: filter rules for incoming messages on pop3 account do not seem to work

2013-05-03 Thread Martin Steigerwald
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319289

Bug ID: 319289
Summary: filter rules for incoming messages on pop3 account do
not seem to work
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.10
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Mail Filter Agent
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: mar...@lichtvoll.de

On investigating bug #319238 (mail cannot be moved) I thought a filter rule for
incoming mails might be called twice if its active for all accounts. Currently
that is local folders maildir and my main POP3 account.

I thought it would make sense to call the filter just once, after download the
mail via POP3 resource. Thus I just activated the POP3 account. But then the
filters do not seem to work at all, unless I trigger manually with Ctrl+J I get
all incoming mails in inbox. Unfiltered.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make a filter rule for a mailinglist (List-Id) and bind it to your POP3
account.
2. Retrieve new mails via POP3.
Actual Results:
Mails are not filtered unless filtered manually.

Expected Results:
Mails the pop3 resource downloads are filtered.

Since selecting the mails to filter them manually, seems to work around the
annoying bug #319238, I now let all new mails go to some folder aaUnfiltered,
then as I disabled spam filter rules (see data loss bug #319226) delete the few
spams policyd-weight lets through manual, and press Ctrl-A and then Ctrl-J to
filter the rest. Whats for inbox I move there manually.

This way, I seem to have reached some stable state to be able to use KDEPIM-2
without downgrading again to KDEPIM-1.

This is Debian Sid, with KDEPIM 4.10.2, Akonadi 1.9.1 and MySQL 5.5.

Another thought: Since even before new mails appeared in inbox before
filtering, may it make sense to just bind the folders to the maildir resource
and not the pop3 account? Honestly, I do not understand how filtering is
supposed to work. In old KMail I didn´t have a maildir resource as a filtering
account and I do not know what it would see as incoming mails.

filter rules in use

I removed three Sender: field related filter rules for an internal mailing list
and another filter rule I consider somewhat private.

Its just simple filter rules aka, if field List-Id (mainly) contains something
move mail to folder.

[Akonadi] [Bug 319208] KMail unresponsive after POP3 retrieval and filtering with high MySQL load for minutes

2013-05-03 Thread Martin Steigerwald
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=319208

--- Comment #4 from Martin Steigerwald mar...@lichtvoll.de ---
I think raising the limit to 500M helped quite a bit, but what helped even more
is:

Go to account settings and then set the maildir resource to update on new start
instead of manual check. This way when I click the retrieve mail button just
the POP3 resource is triggered. And the maildir resource just takes the mail,
but doesn´t start a full synchronisation.

I wonder why the maildir resource is set to synchronize by manual trigger at
all.

I wonder whether the default setting to trigger on each manual check is
suitable for POP3 configurations.
