[kmail2] [Bug 321857] New: headerthemeeditor.desktop doesn't specify icon, while it is visible to users in the application menu.

2013-07-02 Thread Jekyll Wu
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321857

Bug ID: 321857
Summary: headerthemeeditor.desktop doesn't specify icon, while
it is visible to users in the application menu.
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: Git (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: adap...@gmail.com

So the result is there is one menu entry which doesn't have a icon. That really
makes it outstanding.

My suggestion:

1. If this utility is supposed to be directly launched by users and deserves
its own place in the menu, please specify a suitable icon to make it more user
friendly.

2. If this utility is only supposed to be indirectly launched by users, then
please add NoDisplay=true in headerthemeeditor.desktop to make it invisible
in the menu .

Reproducible: Always

Hi, FYI, I wrote a little script to transform KnewsTicker feed list to
OPML/XML file. So you can import your precious feeds in Akregator.

 See :

Not only would it be nice; but it would make Kmail usable again. What is the
suggested way to use Kmail these days without this? I really liked the old
New filter which would not make the emails disappear but this was closed with
no explanation what so ever: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=293620

[kmail2] [Bug 259813] reading mails in unread mode instantly disappears from list

2013-07-02 Thread Jonathan M Davis
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=259813

--- Comment #23 from Jonathan M Davis jmdavisp...@gmx.com ---
What is the suggested way to use Kmail these days without this?

What I'm forced to do is filter on unread to see what the e-mails are, then get
rid of that filter and then filter on the subject of the e-mail so that only
that thread appears (or only threads with similar subjects depending on how
much of the subject I specify and how unique it is). At that point, when I
click on the unread e-mails, they don't disappear, since the filter is on the
subject rather than their status.

But it's definitely not as pleasant as being able to doing this by simpling
filtering on unread. It's the only way that I'd found to reasonably get around
this bug though.
