Hi,
Same problem here.
Kmail 1.13.7 with Debian Wheezy.

Everything was working fine until 2 days ago, Kmail starts but hangs on the
reception of new messages (Progress window on right down corner shows
Synchronising for two email accounts, without progression).

I can have access to my local emails, and my two offline-IMAP accounts, but I
can't fetch new messages.

What information should I provide ?

[Akonadi] [Bug 322227] New: Akonadi Agents hang or freeze after more than 24 hour uptime

2013-07-11 Thread piedro
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=37

Bug ID: 37
Summary: Akonadi Agents hang or freeze after more than 24 hour
uptime
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.10
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: piedro.kul...@googlemail.com

Everytime I leave my box running for a long time (well, more than a day or two)
various akonadi agents hang and have to be restarted:

- mail dispatcher agent sometimes hangs (doesn't send mail - has to be
restarted)
- local folders in kmail don't load (loading/refresh symbol is running) and
show no content - even after letting this untouched the folders never refresh
and don't show any conent
- kjots: the worst! - the notebooks show no more content at all (though the
files are still present!) and some additional folders with names like
aAC7FOPuZP show up within kjots - but they are all empty!

sry if I cannot be more specific but these effects seem to be realted that's
why I put them into one bug report.

thx for reading,

[kmail2] [Bug 322234] New: Cannot enable HTML on a per-message or per-sender basis

2013-07-11 Thread Kete
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322234

Bug ID: 322234
Summary: Cannot enable HTML on a per-message or per-sender
basis
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.10.3
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: wishlist
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@ninthfloor.org

I would like to enable HTML based on the address of frequent senders instead of
the folder. I would also like the option of enabling HTML for a random sender
whom I can trust.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enable HTML
2. Requires enabling all incoming mail for a folder
Actual Results:
No options for single messages or for enabling all future messages from an
e-mail address

Expected Results:
Similar to when the application asks me if I want to enable remote images when
I look at such messages, I prefer an application to ask me if I want to enable
HTML or if I want to enable HTML for the message and all future messages from
the sender. Menu options (beside the per folder) would have sufficed.

... more specific suggestions are necessary on how
 users expect this to be.

Using Kmail 4.10.2, I also am unhappy with the reporting of diwnloading of
messages (from POP3 servers).
The 'blue arrow' appears inconsistently, and I cannot find an option to
always have the extra information (shown after clicking on the up arrow, which
does not persist over restarts.).
Also, when accessing only a Gmail POP server, the blue up arrow seldom
appears, so the user is left wondering (after clicking on 'Check Mail') if the
Check Mail actually 'took', as KMail just displays 'Ready' at bottom left, with
no indication that a fetch has been requested.

(On the SMTP side, I much appreciate having the 'Message sent successgfully'
popup, and wish the POP side would communicate similarly.)

Where is the setup control for the blue arrow popup?

Correction s/4.10.4/4.10.5

Thinking about it there seem to be actually two problems:
1. Why does kmail give an error at all? Did really someting fail? Should it
really present an error to the user?
2. In general, Kmail shouldn't report an error for each and every mail on
operations affecting possibly thousands of mails.
