I will want to quickly go through them, reply, delegate, move, etc. Often times, I do not want to be connected to the Net, or if I am connected, do not want to send "Right Away". This used to be easy and fluid. I could bind the keystroke to "Send Later" and poof, done. Now, however, like many things that used to work and be simple in Kmail, are now broken and needlessly complex. "Send Later" now forces me to deal with a dialog box that makes me select A.) "Put in Outbox (duh, this is what I wanted, so why can't I configure this box?) B.) Schedule it (to me, completely useless, but fine, give me a way to ditch this) C.) Cancel. (Cancel what? sending the message, editing the message?) Putting kmail into "Offline" Mode just makes things more complex... "Send Later" should REALLY be clear now, but it gives you yet another dialog box to deal with, asking if you want to go online. Ok, fine, this gives you a way to turn it off, but this now makes it two-layered...Scheduling the mail will make me go online at that time? This would break the "Offline Mode" and makes no sense. Please give me some options to turn off all of this thinking for me! "Offline" should be "Offline until I dang well want to go online". "Send Later" should have an option to "Pop up annoying options dialog every time I send later?" I want this to be a fast workflow, and it used to be...now it is annoying and slow, without the option to change it. It's especially irritating because the list has only names, no addresses, so for multiple names with different addresses one has to pull tricks to find the correct one to use. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Compose an email. 2. Click into the recipient address field, wait for the autocompletion popup (type something if needed for the popup). 3. Click one address. 4. Double-click the same address to have it inserted into the recipient field. Actual Results: The recipient field is empty, nothing is inserted or completed. It happens with IMAP account on Polish e-mail provider www.onet.pl. It doesn't happen with GMail. It has been observed for "auto checking for new e-mails" functionality. The problem doesn't exist if antispam filter is disabled. Reproducible: Sometimes Steps to Reproduce: 1. set up an mail account on www.onet.pl (free of charge) 2. configure above account with kmail (IMAP way) 3. set up antispam filter 4. send e-mail to yourself 5. check for new e-mails on kmail Actual Results: Identical messages are proliferating in my kmail mailbox and thus on mail server. They've got the same incoming date and titles. Expected Results: One message on mail server. One message in my kmail mailbox. I suspect, it can be encoding that an provider uses, i.e. Onet uses: Content-Type: text/plain; charset="ISO-8859-1" GMail uses: Content-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8 Above are from message source. It takes forever to retrieve an email item be it an IMAP or local maildir item. Kmail2 takes about 31% of one cpu core and continues to consume RAM by the second. This behaviour does not stop even when exiting the program, you have to kill the process explicitely for it to stop. Due to this error my owncloud contacts are not showing in my KAddressbook. I could work around this issue by renaming the owncloud calendar. But the core issue is that akonadi doesn't handle duplicate resource names very well. My use case should work. A calendar and addressbook that use the same name are still easily identified as different objects. I have created a fresh user on my system. For this user I have set up kmail with two of the above three accounts: Kobalt W.I.T. - Geert and Kobalt W.I.T. - Info. Both worked without a hitch... So I tried again to delete and recreate the failing accounts on the exsiting user and now they all work as well. Go figure... Switched plugins from Akarodi to the "google calendar and tasks" as Akarodi stopped functions with the 4.11 update. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add a google calendar 2. Triple check all options and make sure korganizer reminder is running 3. add a reminder with notification 4. check summery and wait for notification to be sent. Neither happens Actual Results: No events are shown and no reminders sent. Expected Results: Events should be shown in the kontact summery and reminders sent.
