[kmail2] [Bug 324532] New: kmail filter on sending mails cannot change identity

2013-09-05 Thread jos poortvliet
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=324532

Bug ID: 324532
Summary: kmail filter on sending mails cannot change identity
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.1
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: jospoortvl...@gmail.com

Filter settings screenshots

I'm trying to get mails send to a certain group of addresses (anything at
suse.com or suse.de, to be exact) to be send from a certain identity (SUSE,
obviously). So I've configured a filter for outgoing mails, as that looks like
it - see attached picture.

But it doesn't work - mails send from my other identities end up as that
identity on @suse.de addresses.

A filter log on sending mail:
[09:25:42] Begin filtering on message awesome test from Jos Poortvliet at
Thursday 05 September 2013 09:25 :
[09:25:42] Evaluating filter rules: (match any of the following) To
contains suse.de To contains suse.com
[09:25:42] 1 = To contains suse.de ('Jos Poortvliet'
jpoortvl...@suse.de)
[09:25:42] Filter rules have matched.
[09:25:42] Applying filter action: Set Identity To 1829023743

(the mail still ends up as send from my jospoortvl...@gmail.com address in my
sent box and in my suse.de inbox)

It happens with standard events, weekly recurring ones, and the ones that take
all day.
So I guess all of them.

I now have a test akonadi weekly sitting in my calendar every thursday
forever :)

It crashes because you use a debug build (Q_ASSERT are ignored on release
builds). Read https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=321787#c5

Marc, the reason why it fails for gentoo users is there:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323722#c5 looks like gentoo doesn't use

2013-09-05 Thread Darin McBride
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=323722

--- Comment #9 from Darin McBride tankta...@gmail.com ---
From Code Complete 2: Use error-handling for conditions you expect to occur;
use assertions for conditions that should never occur.

Since we're talking about a desktop file, which is not under KDE's control,
this is an error condition, not something that should be asserted.

But that's just my opinion. If you disagree, no response required.
