input for #324831 (marked as possible duplicate):

* Switch to another folder and back = Bug still present? - Yes.
* Create a new tab (ctrl+shift+t) = Is the Bug also present in the new tab? -
Yes.
* akonadiconsole shows all the messages

I did the following:
* checked and downloaded emails (inbox)
* mark some new emails as read and move to a sub-folder of the inbox
* some time later the (imho unnecessary) notification with new emails in this
folder shows up
* switching to this folder only shows the emails I previously moved there

[kmail2] [Bug 325440] New: Kmail locks up, runs by fits and starts

2013-09-29 Thread Peter Gückel
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325440

Bug ID: 325440
Summary: Kmail locks up, runs by fits and starts
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.11.2
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: commands and actions
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: pguec...@gmail.com

When running kmail, it is set to get my mail at start-up, which works. When I
try to select a message, however, the program locks up, no response, no active
icons on the program menu, for around (subjective impression) 30 seconds, then
the message is selected. If I try to open the message, click another message or
click on a different directory (trash, sent, etc), the same thing happens. If I
try to close the program, even, it fails to respond and the window manager asks
whether it should terminate the program. If I decline, the program will close
of its own accord within about 30 seconds.

I was thinking it could be akonadi, but kaddressbook also uses akonadi and it
works fine. Could it be virtuoso/nepomuk? I have email indexing disabled, or,
as it is called, suspended.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
The software is close to being unusable in this state. It is close to pointless
to sit for half a minute, just to select an email, wait another half a minute
to click it and have it open, wait another half a minute before being able to
click ŕespond', waiti another half a minute after closing it to be able to
delete it, etc.

I am using pop, not imap

[kaddressbook] [Bug 307645] automatically determine the coordinates of an address

2013-09-29 Thread Manfred
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=307645

--- Comment #2 from Manfred manfred.1...@freenet.de ---
The former ideas needed online recources are available. KDE-SC Digikam makes
use of the technology for it's geolocalization function. I would prefer to have
an Interface, displaying a map to choose the geodata for a contact. Actually it
makes use of the googlemaps api and one can choose map or satellite view.

The second wish is available in Digikam, too. You have an Interface where you
can mark a square on a map and digikam is showing all photografies with
geolocation data of this area. Same thing in kaddressbook could filter the
contact list displaying all contacts in the choosen area.

Well, this is a wishlist. :-)

[kaddressbook] [Bug 325444] New: Adding Chinese Profile for Field Name + adding Phonetic Name

Chinese Names are written as NamePrename. There is a pattern for this order
in kaddressbook, but its adding a Space inbetween Name und Prename. As most
of my contacts have chinese names, I have to manually enter a user defined
display order for every contact.

Second I would love to get displayed a field Phonetic Name which is of use
for all non alphabet writing systems. Google has this field, but it's not in
the specified vcard fields:
X-PHONETIC-FIRST-NAME:Ru2
X-PHONETIC-MIDDLE-NAME:Bi4
X-PHONETIC-LAST-NAME:Wang1

[Akonadi] [Bug 284527] Error when changing an imap folder's identity (Unknown command SETANNOTATION)

2013-09-29 Thread Matthias Heizmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=284527

--- Comment #19 from Matthias Heizmann matth...@heizmann.name ---
Thank to some help of Alexander I was able to use his workaround.
A few comments for others that run into the same problem.
While creating the kolab ressource manually using the Raw Socket
- you have to have the ressource already created in the usual way (I deleted it
after I reading the debugging output)
- do not paste the ROLLBACK command, but paste COMMIT instead
- do not reboot after these steps, otherwise the kolab ressource is gone again.

You set the content type to inode/directory in
Folder Properties Internals
(Yes, where it says Do not even think about chaning anything in here!)

 More information:

Kmail crashes particularly often when entering a wrong passphrase for
decryption or when pressing cancel on the passphrase dialog.

If Kmail has managed to successfully show the mail in question at least
once, either decrypted or encrypted, it will usually not crash again when
showing the same message, until restarted.

Hitting the cancel button sounds like #325197
