Still happens with 4.11.2 on openSUSE too.

I've also discovered that it actually doesn't matter whether I move messages
with Move To.

But it maybe very well be that it only happens with moving multiple messages at
once, and not with single messages. I'll keep an eye on this last thought
though...

I have the same with KMail 4.11.2 and openSUSE 12.3. It can't be a network
problem, because I see the bug also on local KMail folders.

[kmail2] [Bug 283020] Store Kmail Tags in IMAP flags, like Thunderbird

2013-10-11 Thread Erik Quaeghebeur
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283020

--- Comment #5 from Erik Quaeghebeur kdeb...@equaeghe.nospammail.net ---
(In reply to comment #0)

Thunderbird store those tags as $label1, $label2, etc.
So will be good to add in Kontact storing tags like thunderbird, and add
 support for thunderbird tags.

Just to be explicit: arbitrary tags should be synced as IMAP keywords. The
Thunderbird $label1-5 keywords are a leftover of an earlier label
implementation of Thunderbird, I think, or an attempt to create a number of
(nonstandard) 'standard' labels (Important, Work, Home, Todo, Later) that could
be made language-independent.

Also, when talking to GMail over IMAP, take into account that GMail labels can
be synced either as folders and as labels (see
https://developers.google.com/gmail/imap_extensions#access_to_gmail_labels_x-gm-labels)
in a single folder. Some people will prefer the latter behavior (as it mimicks
the GMail webmail client).

Bug ID: 325899
   Summary: kmail2 is hanging sometimes
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.10.5
  Platform: Debian testing

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major

Hi,

I use KMail2 version 4.10.5. I've choosed the SQLite backend during the
migration from KMail1 to KMail2.

Now KMail2 randomly hangs.

Regards,
Carsten

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
It occurs often and randomly. Thereby I can't provide steps to reproduce.
Actual Results:
The Akonadi Console show jobs inside job tracker with state Running or
Initial and the states haven't changed since hours sometimes.

The Debugger inside the Akonadi Console shows some odd job details:

1) The panel akonadi_mixedmaildir_resource_0 (0x9e55ea0) show a started job
13763 BEGIN but the state of the job hasn't changed last 20 minutes.

2) The panel KMail Kernel ETM (0x9eaf090) has an open fetch job

FLAGS SIZE DATETIME PLD:ENVELOPE)

COLLECTIONID 636 SIZE 5268 DATETIME 11-Oct-2013 15:35:56 + FLAGS
but no OK UID FETCH complete.

3) The panel kmail2-851671093 (0x9dee108) show an open job
237 UID STORE 63309 NOREV (REMOTEID 44023286 +FLAGS (\SEEN))

I won't attach the log because it contains sensitive email information.

[kontact] [Bug 76690] Backup and restore functionality for all PIM data

2013-10-11 Thread John Hamilton
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=76690

John Hamilton j...@hamilton.org.uk changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||j...@hamilton.org.uk

--- Comment #24 from John Hamilton j...@hamilton.org.uk ---
Please raise this issue again. On my old system, I did a complete backup to a
zip file (about 380Mbyte) and I can see it contains a lot of stuff (I keep my
old emails). Moving to a new installation, I attempted to restore via
Tools/ExportKmailData/File/Restore Data/Do you want to continue (really... I do
a restore via the backup menu ???) Select the .zip file, tick all the boxes:
Resources, Mail Xport, Config, Identify, Mails, Akonadi and...
I get a log of lots of stuff that has been restored (except for filters... but
I don't think I had any).
But when I look I have lots of identities but no contacts and no mail... just a
series of entries in mail that say akonadi_maildir_resource_0rc and they're
empty and I can only get rid of them by deleting some strange identities that
have been invented (along with other identities where all the important stuff
has been lost).
But here's an interesting sidebar: I got here because I wanted to do it
cleanly. But before, I tried a dirty way: copying the .kde and .local
directories across. That didn't work, but when I added a restore, I did get my
emails and contacts, but also a lot of odd effects.
So... there is a bug in the backup/restore process and the restore level is
4.10.5 (not sure what version of backup I used).
And... how do I get my contacts and emails back ?

[akregator] [Bug 325910] New: Automatic redirection to twitter

2013-10-11 Thread Damijan Bec
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=325910

Bug ID: 325910
   Summary: Automatic redirection to twitter
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: akregator
   Version: 4.10.5
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: damijan@gmail.com

Application: akregator (4.10.5)
KDE Platform Version: 4.11.2
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.9.0-custom x86_64
Distribution: Debian GNU/Linux testing/unstable

-- Information about the crash:
This bug report is not about the crash itself. The main problem is automatic
redirection while visiting Linux.com Feeds to
https://twitter.com/i/jot

Once you click on Complete Story for article from Linux.com Akregator redirects
you to https://twitter.com/i/jot. The only thing one can see is the following
text

GIF89a

After one clicks on Complete story, desired story is displayed but only for a
second or two then redirection happens.

If one clicks on back button Akregator sometimes crashes. But this is really
not an issue because it is pretty rare.

The crash can be reproduced every time.
