[Akonadi] [Bug 322871] mail filters do not work for incoming messages if the destination folder of the pop3 resource is not the inbox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=322871 --- Comment #3 from Christian Trippe christiande...@web.de --- Hi Andras, do I understand you correctly that this is supposed to work after an akonadi restart? This bug is not about mails not beeing moved to the destination folder of a pop3 resource. This works fine. I did not even check if this only works after a restart of akoandi, but about mail filters not working in this setup. I can stll reproduce the following with KDE 4.11 Setup a pop3 resource with destinaton folder A (!=inbox) and A not beeing a subfolder of the inbox but on the same level, e.g. direct subfolder of the local folder. Setup a filter to only apply to messages from this pop3-resource (this means do not apply it to the local folder resource). This filter should move the message to the folder B which is a subfolder of A. Now receive a message which should be moved to folder B by the filter. However the message will end in folder A. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327831 --- Comment #2 from luisfe lftab...@yahoo.es --- With respect to 2) I am not sure if it is a problem of not being indexed. If I change the default address, then the new default address shows the photo but the old default does not show the photo anymore. Concerning 3), from a user perspective that knows little about programming, I would expect one of the following behaviors: a) The system checks all the contacts containing the given email address until one with a photo is found. So it would show the first photo found, but if the firs contact does not have a photo will look for a second one. b) There would be an option to only search photos in XXX resource. As a user, I may be happy having the photos in my local personal contacts, but I do not want to share the photos with google through gmail or my company exchange server. I am not sure if they are hard to implement or if the first approach consumes a lot of resources. I think that the real problem is that the same person can be spread among different contacts, the same person may have the diffferent email addresses and different people may share the same email address. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Missing message bodies are fetched since 4.11, and I just improved handling of offline accounts. commit f0d85b1477dcf5a1a084e6715aa727da550ca2d0 Author: David Faure fa...@kde.org Date: Tue Nov 19 23:06:38 2013 +0100 Rework offline page logic. Pre-akonadi logic was to check for imap resource and check its offline status, when clicking on a mail. New logic is rather: always try to fetch mail (it could be cached, after all), and only on error, check if resource (of any type) is offline, and then show error page. The main bonus of this patch is that it removes the early return in case of offline mode, which led to a much slower folder-switching in the messagelist. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

KMail requests the headers from Akonadi - CollectionMailingListPage::slotDetectMailingList() 2. Akonadi returns the stored headers - CollectionMailingListPage::slotFetchDone( KJob* job ) 3. Headers are checked for List-Id and so on. The problematic part is 2 - apparently Akonadi does not return all headers. I have dumped the returned headers, and only the following headers are returned (contents obfuscated): Date: xxx From: xxx Subject: xxx In-reply-to: To: xxx Message-id: xxx References: xxx yyy zzz Now, if i go to the *oldest* message and use View Source [V], then start the detection again, everything works, as Akonadi returns *all* headers. This is a quite old installation, and IIRC Akonadi fetches the full headers as of late only. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Connect to a freenet.de imap source 2. specify the sent directory to be in the imap directory structure 3. Send an e-mail to someone Actual Results: The message gets send, and if the sent folder is open, the message is visible and readable, but if one changes the folder and gets back to the sent folder, the message is visible for a fraction of a second and then disappears. The last also happens if there is an other folder open and one changes to the sent folder after a message was sent. Expected Results: KMail should keep messages in the sent folder Messages are getting deleted, regardless how the folder is named (I tried Gesendet, drafts, spam, even Trash). Ather actions remain unaffected, i.e. saving a draft or deleting messages. They all get copied in their respective folders. Thunderbird in contrast copies the messages without hassle to the specified sent folder.
