[Akonadi] [Bug 329022] Akonadi adds blank emails to IMAP inbox
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=329022 --- Comment #6 from Hans Meine --- Created attachment 84751 --> https://bugs.kde.org/attachment.cgi?id=84751&action=edit most recent log file showing a 'BAD Command' error (server reply?) Now, mail delivery stopped working again. This is a new state of brokenness, however, one that I did not see in the last months AFAIR: * I do not get to see new mails in my main inbox anymore (in KMail). * I can see a "BAD Command" error flash for a brief moment at the end (?!) of fetching new mail if I toggle the detailed status in KMail's lower right corner. * The same error appears in one of the /tmp/imap.log.*s (see attachment) * However, I do *not* see any empty mails right now (so maybe this should eventually be put into a different/new bugreport). The main akonadi[ctl] output seems to be less helpful, but here it is (I wonder if the SSL error is related; it's probably due to a domain root certificate missing on my machine): akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::LoginJob: KIMAP::LoginJob(0x304bda0) akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::SessionThread::reconnect: connectToHost "owa.mevis.fraunhofer.de" 993 akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::doStart: KIMAP::LoginJob(0x304bda0) akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::SessionThread::sslConnected: Initial SSL handshake failed. cipher.isNull() is false , cipher.usedBits() is 128 , the socket says: "Unbekannter Fehler" and the list of SSL errors contains 4 items. akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::handleResponse: "Fähigkeiten" "*" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::handleResponse: Capabilities updated: ("IMAP4", "IMAP4rev1", "AUTH=NTLM", "AUTH=GSSAPI", "AUTH=PLAIN", "UIDPLUS", "CHILDREN", "IDLE", "NAMESPACE", "LITERAL+") akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::handleResponse: "Fähigkeiten" "A01" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::handleResponse: "Anmeldung" "+" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::handleResponse: "Anmeldung" "A02" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) KIMAP::LoginJob::~LoginJob: KIMAP::LoginJob(0x304bda0) akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveItemsTask::onFinalSelectDone: No messages present so we are done akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Entwürfe" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Gelöschte Elemente" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Gesendete Elemente" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Bewerbungen" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Bugzilla" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Buildreports" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Forum" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/IEEE" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Termine" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Wiki" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/INBOX" akonadi_imap_resource_0(24724)/kdepimlibs (kimap) RetrieveCollectionMetadataTask::doStart: "/Postausgang" -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

Clear cached queries before closing database connection This works around a crash in QPSQL driver in Qt 4, where destroying QSqlQuery after QSqlDatabase connection has been closed apparently leads to a crash. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330215 Bug ID: 330215 Summary: Crash in QPSQL driver when shutting down Akonadi Classification: Unclassified Product: Akonadi Version: 1.11.0 Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: normal Priority: NOR Component: server Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: dvra...@redhat.com QPSQL driver crashes when destroying QSqlQueries cached in QueryCache, because they are being destroyed after QSqlDatabase connection has been closed. I think this is a bug in Qt because, because it should check whether QSqlDriver has already been deleted before using it. I checked Qt5 code and it should be fine there. Committed on 20/01/2014 at 12:49. Pushed by cmollekopf into branch 'master'. React to collection changes that cause a collection to match a filter. Some obvious cases were: * if you create a collection in kmail it is not displayed until kmail is restarted (the mimetype arrives via a dataChanged signal) * kolab folders were visible in kmail until restarted Those cases are now properly handled by adding/removing the collection as appropriate. [Akonadi] [Bug 330010] KDEPIM .desktop file parser considers invalid the strings containing commas
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=330010 --- Comment #5 from Daniel Vrátil --- It's better to have space after comma than completely broken translations :) The workaround with wrapping the translation into quotes still works though, so translators could use it. The actual handling of PIM data, including synchronization happens automatically, as it's controlled by Akonadi in the background This is a combination of two factors: a known bug that Akonadi will trigger email synchronization when resource is started and that we forcibly start all Akonadi resources on Akonadi startup, even when they are not needed. The only workaround I can think of right now is that you allow access to KWallet to all Akonadi resources that require it, so that you are not bothered by the password prompt. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
