[kaddressbook] [Bug 331896] New: Regression: Categories in edit contact window no longer showing

2014-03-08 Thread Fuchs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331896

Bug ID: 331896
Summary: Regression: Categories in edit contact window no
longer showing
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: 4.13 pre
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: deve...@fuchsnet.ch
CC: to...@kde.org

In KDE 4.12.80 the "categories" should probably use the new baloo based tags.

Because after a migration it does not show any categories if editing a user,
searching for a categorie that you have previously set, e.g. "family", does
find them, though.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Update to 4.12.80
2. Migrate to baloo
3. Edit an existing contact
4. Open categories
Actual Results:
None are shown

Expected Results:
Correct categories are shown

[kmail2] [Bug 331891] New: Broken references-chain (email header) leads to new Thread

2014-03-08 Thread Bernhard
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331891

Bug ID: 331891
Summary: Broken references-chain (email header) leads to new
Thread
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.12.2
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: b.d@gmx.de

Asume we have two emails with the following headers:
header 1:
Message-ID:

header 2:
Message-ID:
In-Reply-To:
References:

Now shouldn't these two emails be in the same thread regardless where the email
with the Message-ID is (especially if isn't
present)?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Send an email to yourself
2. Reply to that email
3. Reply to the reply
3. Delete the second email
Actual Results:
Now the first and third email are in separate threads.

Expected Results:
The first and third email should still be in the same thread.

You have to enable threads in your messages list:
View -> Message List -> Aggregation -> Default Message List

Just to clarify, I didn't reproduce that the imap resource was going crazy, I
just reproduced many dialogs appearing due to a frequently reconnecting
internet connection. (and the dialog is spawned by the
settingspasswordrequester, not KTcpSocket)

2014-03-08 Thread tbohaning
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331867

I did a little further checking. My original database that is currently failing
has a column "name" varbinary(255), Null = no, Key =MUL.

As a cross check, I created a completely new DB and checked the layout. The new
parttable does not have a name column.

If looks like an incomplete upgrade of the DB occurred.

I just reproduced this with an account where the password changed and indeed it
spawns a new dialog on every reconnect. I could also trigger it manually by
simply reconnecting the wlan or entering sleep.

Still no error message when booting with Ethernet plugged in and wireless
disabled. KWallet didn't come up until I started Kontact, but all was well

So far so good in 4.12.3. Looking back at my previous comments, I wonder if
it's because I'm going over WiFi? It seems the problem was related to delays
in getting the password, but now, I don't have a network connection until I
type my password in KWallet, so I guess Akonadi won't even try to fetch mail
until then. I'll try it with just wired Ethernet.

There is a "kaddressbook import" menu entry in the "lost & found" category. It
doesn't seem to do anything when launched, I'm not sure it is supposed to
appear in the menu. In any case it should be categorized

[kmail2] [Bug 331870] New: kmail creates thousands of empty messages in the maildir

2014-03-08 Thread Arne Babenhauserheide
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331870

Bug ID: 331870
Summary: kmail creates thousands of empty messages in the
maildir
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.12.1
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: arne_...@web.de

I have a setup where two computers update the maildir asynchronously and merge
the changes via DVCS. For a few weeks now kmail (or akonadi) has been creating
thousands of empty messages per day and created error messages saying that some
emails could not be deleted.

The new messages are named something like
lists-and-forums/new/1393578315.R355.fluss

(fluss is my hostname, but not the hostname of the computer which actually
fetches the mails. the number after R has gone up to 997, but can also be 5.
Many of the messages only differ in the number after the R - and they are
empty)

I guess that it can happen that some mail gets moved by one computer from
/new to /cur while the other computer still sees it in
/new, giving me a clash in /new.

Reproducible: Always
