[kaddressbook] [Bug 332358] New: Regression: Baloo for tags messes up categories/groups when syncing with external collections (e.g. owncloud)

2014-03-20 Thread Fuchs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332358

Bug ID: 332358
Summary: Regression: Baloo for tags messes up categories/groups
when syncing with external collections (e.g. owncloud)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: 4.13 pre
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: deve...@fuchsnet.ch
CC: to...@kde.org

Slightly related to https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=331896

due to the new usage of baloo instead of nepomuk for tags (in kaddressbook:
called categories) now the akonadi tag is saved in the contact.

Previously it was saved as:

BEGIN:VCARD
CATEGORIES:Family
UID:0KqAvlaaZq
VERSION:3.0
END:VCARD

BEGIN:VCARD
CATEGORIES:akonadi:?tag=1
UID:1af9e6d2-f1ec-46fc-bcdc-26831c28b332
VERSION:3.0
END:VCARD

This leads to problems when syncing with other sources, e.g. owncloud and quite
probably also other groupware, because they then use that as the group name.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new category, e.g. Family
2. Assign this category to a contact from a groupware ressource, e.g. owncloud
instance
3. Let owncloud sync that with other devices, e.g. a mobile phone
Actual Results:
The contact ends up in the new group akonadi:?tag=1 and is displayed as that
on all synced devices.

Expected Results:
The contact ends up in the group Family, as it did prior to 4.13

Marking this as major, since most of these sources do auto-sync, hence after an
update it's likely that you sync broken data to a lot of devices

[kontact] [Bug 332362] Couldn't format text bold in KMail

2014-03-20 Thread Arruor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332362

--- Comment #1 from Dimiter Arruor Nikov arr...@gmail.com ---
In fact problem is appearing because I was added custom header 'Content-type:
text/html; charset=utf-8' to 'trick' KMail to send HTML formatted e-mail
messages.

After removing customer header - problem is not appearing.

[kmail2] [Bug 332368] New: Passing a PGP message via KToolInvocation::invokeMailer() it will not show up in the composer

2014-03-20 Thread Rolf Eike Beer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332368

Bug ID: 332368
Summary: Passing a PGP message via
KToolInvocation::invokeMailer() it will not show up in
the composer
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.12.3
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: crypto
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@opensource.sf-tec.de

To test use the current HEAD of KDE/4.12, KDE/4.13, or master branch in
kde:kgpg repository. The email composer will show up empty (or only with your
signature). If you open the file caff.cpp and change the last argument to
KToolInvocation::invokeMailer() from text to test.mid(1) or
text.mid(0).insert(0, QLatin1Char(' ')) then the text will show up in the
composer.

Reproducible: Always

The vcard exporter in KDE 4.12+ correctly creates UTF8 encoded content.
Please try with a current KDE version.
This issue was probably the same as bug #310137

[kontact] [Bug 332345] Kontact crashes on launch

2014-03-20 Thread Dirk Sarpe
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332345

--- Comment #6 from Dirk Sarpe dns_h...@web.de ---
Just got a package update and know it works. There were several packages
related to pim that got updated to 4:4.12.90-0ubuntu1, e.g. libkdepim4 ad
libpimcommon4. So it might have been a downstream issue or something along the
line of incomplete packages. Sorry for the noise here.

No, that one doesn't use that code path. Also that one seems to hang in an
endless loop, while this one behaves properly (it just ignores the data).
