Acctually it is a problem in enigmail. You can easily test if you use the cmd
line tool gpg, that the signature is valid, but is is binary signature. The
problem is that thunderbird can't handle binary signatures correctly. The
failing mail has a space as last letter at the line and thunderbird removes
this, cause for textmode signatuers this is a allowed modification.

[kontact] [Bug 332673] Notes don't appear in summary view unless I go into Pop-up notes

I forgot to mention that the problems that I am having with Popup Notes only
came with the latest version of KDE, ie KDE 4.12.95. Previous versions worked
to my satisfaction. I hope this is fixed by the release of KDE 4.13.

I am also having trouble with Popup Notes in that it does not load my notes
file in ~.kde/share/apps/knotes/notes.ics. Summary View does not show any
notes and I cannot add notes with the New Popup Note option, ie it does
nothing.

In System Settings > Personal Information, I have defined Local Notes with the
notes.ics Filename. Basically Popup Notes is currently totally unuseable.

[Akonadi] [Bug 332781] New: Akonadi server fails to start right after upgrading to 1.12.0

2014-03-29 Thread Aitor
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332781

Bug ID: 332781

Right after upgrading to 1.12.0, akonadi fails to start.
I was using the internal MySQL (MariaDB) based setup. With this setup I
received messages from akonadi than using the external DB configuration but
mysqld complains about several instances running at the same time. Indeed,
akonadi spawns many mysqld instances:
BEGIN--
InnoDB: Unable to lock ./ibdata1, error: 11
InnoDB: Check that you do not already have another mysqld process
InnoDB: using the same InnoDB data or log files.
-END-
Changing it to a manually defined connection "akonadictl start" returns the
following error:

[kmail2] [Bug 332780] New: Following kmail account wizard is very confusing

2014-03-29 Thread Rohan Garg
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332780

Bug ID: 332780
Summary: Following kmail account wizard is very confusing
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13 pre
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ro...@kde.org

When trying to follow the KMail account wizard after launching kmail for the
first time leads to very confusing results.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Fill in GMail account details
2. Make sure "Find provider settings on the Internet" is checked
3. Click on next
4. Settings are correctly found
5. Click on next again
6. Nothing happens
Actual Results:
Apparently, one needs to click on the "Create Account" button which I thought
would create a new account on GMail and it was very counter intuitive to find
that it actually adds the account locally.

Expected Results:
Clicking next adds the account

Using akonadi 1.12, kmail only stores sent email in akonadi database and not on

This happens both in kdepim 4.12.3 and also after upgrading to kdepim 4.13RC1

(marking as major since there is actually data loss here). Feel free to
downgrade.

[kmail2] [Bug 332774] New: kmail crashed when NOT entering the gpg key for decryption

2014-03-29 Thread Stefan Seide

within the message list i select a gpg encrypted email. A message box
"pineentry" - "You need to enter a passphrase to unlock the secret key..."
opens. There I press "Cancel".
Now another Messagebox "PGP-Warnung - Kontact" opens with "Der eingegebene
Passwort-Satz war ungültig. ...". (first question - should this happen as i did
not enter an passphrase and pressed cancel before?) Now i press "Cancel" again
and Kontact crashes. This is reproducible ever time with all pgp encrypted
mails.

When i do enter the correct passphrase the mail gets encrypted.

The following is the KDE error report:

i did not find any option to create a detached signature, while encrypting.

does it help if i send you a e-mail with your own key?

[kmail2] [Bug 327549] KMail2 shows PGP/MIME signature from Thunderbird/Enigmail as regular attachment

2014-03-29 Thread Sandro Knauß
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=327549

For me it looks that the mail from thunderbird you encrypted uses no detatched
signature. Only a detached signature is stored in the .asc file. The problem
is, that gpg at the cmd line automatically verifies an inline signature, when
decrypting, that's why you don't see any attachments.

Can thunderbird create a detached signature, when using encrytion as well?

[Akonadi] [Bug 332013] NFS with NetApp FAS: please split payload files in file_db_data into several directories to avoid reaching maxdirsize limit on Ontap / WAFL filesystem

2014-03-29 Thread Daniel Vrátil
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332013

We access the files directly by it's name (we never list content of the
directory), which makes use of internal hash/tree of the filesystem
implementation, which is usually very fast and should cope with large folders
just fine.
