This is still happening in 4.13. I experience the same problem I noted in bug
255388 comment 96.

[kontact] [Bug 333684] New: kontact crashed when switching to contacts

2014-04-21 Thread Andreas Roth
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333684

Bug ID: 333684
   Summary: kontact crashed when switching to contacts
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ar...@arsoft-online.com

Application: kontact (4.13)
KDE Platform Version: 4.13.0
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 3.13.0-24-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 14.04 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
after upgrade to kubuntu 14.04 kontact (with kde 4.13.0) asked me to migrate my
data from knotes. I agreed and afterwards i tried to switch to the contact view
on kontact and it crashed. The knotes migration might not be related at all to
this crash.

[kontact] [Bug 333689] New: Kontact 4.4.11 segfaults after upgrading KDE to 4.13.0

2014-04-21 Thread Robin Atwood
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=333689

Bug ID: 333689
   Summary: Kontact 4.4.11 segfaults after upgrading KDE to 4.13.0
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kontact
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ro...@binro.org

After I upgraded KDE to version 4.13.0 Kontact now segfaults on starting.
KDEPIM is masked to stay at 4.4.11. Here is the backtrace:
Application: Kontact (kontact), signal: Segmentation fault
Using host libthread_db library /lib64/libthread_db.so.1.
[KCrash Handler]
#5 0x003047797756 in QObject::connect(QObject const*, char const*, QObject
const*, char const*, Qt::ConnectionType) () from /usr/lib64/qt4/libQtCore.so.4
#6  0x7f744de2c4d6 in KontactInterface::Plugin::part() () from
/usr/lib64/libkontactinterface.so.4
#7  0x7f744e3d72b0 in

/usr/lib64/libkontactprivate.so.4
#8  0x7f744e3d65f4 in Kontact::MainWindow::loadSettings() () from
/usr/lib64/libkontactprivate.so.4
#9  0x7f744e3dc0af in Kontact::MainWindow::initObject() () from

/usr/lib64/libkontactprivate.so.4
#11 0x004044c4 in _start ()

The various component apps (KMail, KAddressbook, etc) still work correctly. I
then recompiled kontact-4.4.11.1-r1 and now the Kontact Introduction page
appears but I get a similar segfault as soon as I select a plugin to show:

nope... Not on 4.13. I can send to its members (select people in the list and
send works), but not to the list itself but maybe it's supposed to work this
way?
