[kmail2] [Bug 334052] New: kmail should preserve the tabs with messages after re-start
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334052 Bug ID: 334052 Summary: kmail should preserve the tabs with messages after re-start Classification: Unclassified Product: kmail2 Version: unspecified Platform: unspecified OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: UI Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: reiner@web.de kmail has the nice feature to open multiple tabls to display messages. So it is easy to switch between folders. In combination with applying an own quick filter to each tab, this is a powerfull feature, which I do not miss during my daily work. Unfortunately, when terminating and starting kmail again, it does not remember the previous set of tabs but open the window from scratch. So on every day this takes me several minutes to manually restore the session. I want that kmail remebers the opened tabs and restores them on a restart. The applied quick filter should be kept too. P.S. I am using kmail 4.8.5 but the input box does not support the correct version number. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start kmail 2. Open some subwindows for message in separate tabs and apply some quick filters 3. Stop kmail 4. Start kmail again Actual Results: kmail always starts with an empty message window. Any previously opened subwindows are lost. Expected Results: kmail remembers the message window. Any previously opened subwindows are restored including the quick filters. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[kmail2] [Bug 292399] Kmail message list does not show attachment icons
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=292399 --- Comment #25 from Lars Altenhain lars_kdeb...@micram.com --- On openSUSE 13.1 with KDE4.13 this bug is also still present. The attachment icon is shown for new mails but as soon as the mail is marked as read or moved to another folder the icon disappears. For new mails with an attachment the $ATTACHMENT flag is set in the akonadi database (can be seen with akonadi console) but not transmitted to the imap server. This can be checked e.g. with thunderbird by creating a tag $ATTACHMENT there and filter the message list by this tag. As soon as something is done to the email like marking as read the flags are reread from the server and the $ATTACHMENT flag disappears from the akonadi database. If the email is copied to another folder inside kmail the $ATTACHMENT flag is correctly set also on the imap server for the copy. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Akonadi] [Bug 334014] akonadiserver start problem after 4.12 to 4.13 update
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334014 Daniel Vrátil dvra...@redhat.com changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |RESOLVED CC||dvra...@redhat.com Resolution|--- |INVALID --- Comment #1 from Daniel Vrátil dvra...@redhat.com --- Your problem is that you are missing some constraints in the database, which caused the database to contain invalid data. Akonadi depends on those constraints to keep all data valid. Not sure how you came to not having them, but we need to first clean up the invalid data manually before Akonadi can create those foreign key constraints. 1) Start the MySQL database manually (on your distribution mysqld might be located elsewhere): /usr/libexec/mysqld --defaults-file=$HOME/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf --datadir=$HOME/.local/share/akonadi/db_data/ --socket=/tmp/akonadimysql.socket 2) Connect to it (from another terminal): mysql --socket=/tmp/akonadimysql.socket 3) Check whether you are using the correct database engine: SELECT TABLE_NAME,ENGINE FROM information_schema.TABLES WHERE TABLE_SCHEMA='akonadi'; This should return ~15 records, in format table name | engine where engine should always be InnoDB. If engine is MyISAM, run the query in step 4) for each such table, otherwise skip to step 5). 4) Convert table to InnoDB (replace tableName in the query with actual table name): ALTER TABLE akonadi.tableName ENGINE = InnoDB; 5) Select the database USE akonadi; 6) Remove invalid data DELETE FROM CollectionTable WHERE parentId NOT IN (SELECT id FROM CollectionTable) AND parentId IS NOT NULL; This should print something like X Rows affected, check whether X 0. 7) Stop the MySQL server mysqladmin --socket=/tmp/akonadimysql.socket shutdown (or just send SIGTERM the mysqld) 8) Start Akonadi akonadictl start Akonadi will now be able to create the foreign key constraint. If you were missing the key constraints in more places, it's possible that there will be more invalid data in other tables that need to be cleaned up in similar way, so the startup might fail again. In such case please paste the full output again and we will continue :-) I'll close this as invalid, since it's not really a bug in Akonadi, but feel free to paste the Akonadi output here if there's a problem again. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Akonadi] [Bug 328625] Allow forcing encryption protocol version
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328625 --- Comment #4 from Christian Mollekopf mollek...@kolabsys.com --- (In reply to comment #3) it seems a bit anachronistic to me, for akonadi to only work properly if the mailserver still supports SSLv2. as far as i remember that protocol version was even removed from the openssl packages for debian/ubuntu years ago. so regarding the config file solution i'd vote for this: make akonadi use SSLv3/TLS by default, and if you're really still stuck with SSLv2-only, than *that* would be the thing you'd have to turn on in a config file. That's not what we're doing. We're using the auto-negotiation that apparently is broken on some servers (there's a report somewhere, if only I could find it). This causes the server to report an ssl version it doesn't actually support and thus the connection fails. For this case it's useful to be able to force the used version and thus skipping the broken negotiation. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[akregator] [Bug 334090] New: Akregator freezes on exit, no changes saved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334090 Bug ID: 334090 Summary: Akregator freezes on exit, no changes saved Classification: Unclassified Product: akregator Version: 4.13 Platform: openSUSE RPMs OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: grave Priority: NOR Component: general Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: alv...@gmail.com I cannot exit out of Akregator without it freezing. I then have to kill the process. This not only means my session (and state of feeds) isn't saved, it also frequently duplicates open tabs. The fact that the app doesn't crash, only freezes, means I have no backtrace. But not only quitting Akregator, but also exiting out of the aforementioned duplicated tabs will lead to the same behavior. (Other tabs seem to close just fine.) The freeze may or may not be related to silverlight and/or java being executed in open content. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start akregator. 2. Exit out of akregator (including kquitapp and strg+q, or ending a Plasma session with akregator running), or close a tab (s. above). 3. May be related to tabs containing java or silverlight content. May need web content from certain feeds (this is just a hunch), e.g. open tabs from 99u.com. Actual Results: The app freezes indefinitely. When killed, akregator later restores none of the changes made. Expected Results: Akregator should exit and save any changes made during the session. Tabs I want to close should not freeze the app. I started akregator through the command line an noticed some messages checking pipelight and java (with no errors), which leads me to believe that the problem could be related to tabs with websites that use any of these technologies. (If you want to try it, the tabs in question are posts from 99u.com) A note about duplicated tabs: This is a problem I have noticed on crashes for a long time now. Note that this does not happen each time and the duplicating may only occur with a real crash, e.g. when my laptop goes to sleep and needs a reboot as it doesn't wake up. Which has been happening a lot recently. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[akregator] [Bug 334090] Akregator freezes on exit, no changes saved
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334090 --- Comment #1 from Benjamin M alv...@gmail.com --- I forgot to mention 2 points: 1. Firstly, this bug started occurring in 4.12, so it's not version-related. Secondly, I believe it could have started around the time when I first attempted to exit out of the tab mentioned above, a few days ago, which could confirm this conclusion. 2. Related bugs could be: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=283988 (crash on close tab), or these two older reports on crashes on exit: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=301214 , https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=193780 . https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=310437 --- Comment #7 from Mathias Homann mathias.hom...@opensuse.org --- no, ActiveSync and MAPI are not the same. Mapi only lets you access email on an exchange server, ActiveSync actually synchronises mail, calendar, addressbook and tasklist between your device and the exchange server.
