By the way, it might be a good idea to make these grantlee themes downloadable
like in other kde programs. One could put his new theme on kde-looks.org or
kde-apps.org

[kmail2] [Bug 334458] New: Attachments in /tmp are NOT opened read-only

2014-05-07 Thread Gauss
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334458

Bug ID: 334458
Summary: Attachments in /tmp are NOT opened read-only
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13.0
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: third-imp...@gmx.de

While some people complain(ed) about attachments being opened read-only for me
the opposite is happening. If I click on an attachment in Kmail, the attachment
of the mail is saved in some /tmp/kde-/kontact-<..>/ folder having
read-write permissions, which I consider dangerous. If a mail has more then one
attachment the other files are saved too in /tmp, though these all have
read-only permissions and realy only the file I clicked on has read-write.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open attachment by clicking on it (do not save it)
Actual Results:
File has read-write permissions.

Expected Results:
File should be read-only.

[kmail2] [Bug 334469] New: Long emails with lots of quoted text makes the UI unresponsive

2014-05-07 Thread Francois Prunier
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334469

Bug ID: 334469
Summary: Long emails with lots of quoted text makes the UI
unresponsive
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: grave
  Priority: NOR
 Component: composer
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: francoisprun...@hotmail.com

When replying to a long email with lots of messages back and forth between me
and the recepient, the emails is long and the composer window freezes for a
long time before I can actually edit anything, the CPU is 100% on one core. You
need to painfully remove some of the replied to text to make it shorter and
then it becomes usable again.

This makes kmail unusable for me at work.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Pick a long email to reply to
2. Hit reply
3. Wait a few minutes before you can actually edit
Actual Results:
You need to aait a few minutes before you can actually edit. The only trick
that make it usable again is to chop off the end of the email to make it
shorter. Then it becomes responsive again.

Expected Results:
The wait before editing a reply to a long email should be a few seconds.

That happens on the latest ubuntu and the one before that as well. I'm pretty
sure it was happening on kmail 4.12 and 4.11.

I use kmail inside kontact. But I have the same issue with kmail alone.

IMAP-Resource: Allow to override the encryption mode.

Some ssl servers advertise an ssl version they don't actually support.
This config-only option allows to override the used encryption mode, and
supports all available options, so the auto-negotiation can be skipped.

[Akonadi] [Bug 328625] Allow forcing encryption protocol version

2014-05-07 Thread Christian Mollekopf
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328625

The above patch allows to specify the used version in
.kde/share/config/akonadi_imap_resource_*rc

[network]
OverrideEncryption=TLSV1

Valid values are: SSLV2, SSLV3, TLSV1, SSL, STARTTLS, UNENCRYPTED

TLSV1 is the same as sslv3.1 and SSL is the autonegotiation.

The patch will be part of the 4.13.1 release.

Please let me know whether this fixes your problem, and let me know if it
doesn't.

[Akonadi] [Bug 334470] New: Cannot Delete a Google Calendar in KOrganizer / Akonadi (+ Some Related Problems)

2014-05-07 Thread Shlomi Fish
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334470

Bug ID: 334470
Summary: Cannot Delete a Google Calendar in KOrganizer /
Akonadi (+ Some Related Problems)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 4.13
  Platform: Mageia RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: shlo...@shlomifish.org

Hi all,

I'm on Mageia Linux x86-64 5 (Cauldron) and akonadiconsole gives me this:

Failed to connect to database: Can't connect to local MySQL server through
socket '/home/shlomif/tmp/akonadi-shlomif.9mPy3v/mysql.socket' (2 "No such file
or directory") QMYSQL: Unable to connect

Later on, I cannot delete some of my KOrganizer folders related to my Google
Calendars which I'd like to delete to handle the advice here:

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=264861#c51

A note here. By "cannot delete", I mean that:

1. In KOrganizer, after pressing the delete entry from the context menu, I am
asked to confirm it and I do, but the menu entry does not get deleted - it
stays there - even after a logout and login.

2. In akonadiconsole, the context menu -> Delete menu item is greyed out for
both the "shlo...@gmail.com" provider and its calendar.

I found out that akoandiserver crashes with this backtrace:

shlomif@telaviv1:~$ akonadiserver

[kmail2] [Bug 334477] New: pinentry-qt4 uses wrong style (motif)

2014-05-07 Thread Daniel Boff
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334477

Bug ID: 334477
Summary: pinentry-qt4 uses wrong style (motif)
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13.0
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: crypto
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: dan.b...@gmail.com

Hi!

I just set up encryption within kmail and it works like a charm. However, I
think the pinentry dialog doesn't behave as I should:

1. I use the oxygen style in my workspace, but the dialog appears to be in
motif style ( see screenshot on
http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=ve5hs3&s=8#.U2p3KnVfP0o )

2. The dialog grabs my keyboard, whenever it is opened I can only use the
keyboard for this dialog.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Setup encryption in kmail
2. Send a email
3. The dialog opens, but not in the same style as the rest of my desktop

Nevermind, I tried a lot of different stuff before writing this bugreport. I
checked the source code of pinentry and found out that it probably isn't
related to this application or kmail.

So, I thought it just might be a library / symlink problem with my distribution
and found that oxygen.so was present in /usr/lib/kde4/plugins/styles but not in
/usr/lib/qt4/plugins/styles
After copying the library the style of pinentry-qt4 is correct - I'll file a
bugreport in the archlinux bugtracker

Daniel, I'm sorry, I didn't understand you correctly at the first time =(
So, I have a libkgapi 2.1.1-1 (KDE 4.13, ArchLinux)
For debugging I had to enable "akonadi_googlecalendar_resource_2", not
"LibKGAPI2 (raw data)".
So, I can provide you more detail information in the attach.

yes, it works! thanks a lot!!!

here's what i did:
* i added your patch to the ubuntu package sources for kdepim-runtime 4.13.0
* rebuilt the package and replaced the installed one
* stopped kmail and akonadi
* added the new config option
* started kmail -- and everything was back to normal again :-)

> The patch will be part of the 4.13.1 release.

it should probably be backported to the stock packages, too.

you made my day!

[kmail2] [Bug 315568] kmail crash on startup

2014-05-07 Thread RJVB

Created attachment 86515

New crash information added by DrKonqi

kmail (4.13) on KDE Platform 4.13.0 using Qt 4.8.6

- What I was doing when the application crashed:
Restarted kmail after aborting an apparently locked imap synchronisation (gmail
account)

- Unusual behaviour I noticed:
1) an imap synchronisation apparently got locked
2) aborting the operation did not unlock the situation
3) kmail didn't actually quit after selecting the the Quit menu; the process
kept running after closing all windows
