No, the bug is sadly not fixed. :-(
Running 4.13.1 under Fedora (kde-unstable packages).
 So still update it :)

He says he's already running 4.13.1, so to what version is he supposed to
update?

I'm also running 4.13.1 on Kubuntu 14.04 (About dialog: KMail Version 4.13.1
unter KDE 4.13.1) and bug clearly is not fixed.

The behaviour if ENTER is pressed is as expected if the line is quoted (which
seems to be what your if statement checks), but it's still wrong if a line is
not quoted. In this case, an ENTER or SPACE does not replace the selected text,
but simply adds the newline or space character in front of or after the
selected text.

Mh, can someone re-open this bug, or should I add a new one for KDE 4.13.1?

Also Bug 334612 looks like a duplicate and also is not fixed in KDE 4.13.1, so
maybe it should be tagged / linked accordingly, or also be reopened.

Additional information: If the selection spans multiple lines, some quoted and
some not, the behaviour if ENTER or SPACE is pressed does not depend on the
selected area but on the row the cursor is positioned in.

If if (parts of) three lines are selected and the cursor is positioned in a
quoted line, pressing ENTER or SPACE will replace the selected text by a
newline or space character, as expected.

If if (parts of) three lines are selected and the cursor is positioned in a
not-quoted line, pressing ENTER or SPACE will simply add a newline or space
character in front of or after the selection, contrary to the behaviour of
every other GUI text editor I know.

[kaddressbook] [Bug 334985] New: Synchronize folder destroys data

2014-05-18 Thread Rolf Eike Beer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334985

Bug ID: 334985
   Summary: Synchronize folder destroys data
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: 4.13
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: critical
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: k...@opensource.sf-tec.de
CC: to...@kde.org

The observations were made with 2 hosts running 4.13.1, connected to an IMAP
server running dovecot. The server was a Courier one months ago when the
computers were set up, but was converted to Dovecot and no problems have been
seen so far. The hosts used different KDE SC versions over time, but were
regularly updated to the most recent stable versions.

Reproducible: Didn't try

Steps to Reproduce:
On host1 I opened the addressbook, and edited some contacts in a subfolder.
Only this subfolder was selected in the folder list, so only it's contents were
showing up. I added some birthdays and other information. Most contacts had
images attached to them. I then clicked synchronize folder from the folders
context menu. Result: all contacts lost images and birthdays.

I then booted the other host. Most contacts were showing up twice, none had an
image (they should have had them, the images were added months ago). I clicked
synchronize folder there, it resulted in the duplicates disappearing and the
images showing up. But no birthday entries were seen anywhere. I then added a
birthday entry to one entry again on host2, clicking synchronize folder. The
birthday entry was deleted again. Syncing on host1 did not result in any
change.

Final state so far:
-host1 has neither images nor birthdays
-host2 has images, but no birthdays
-server has state of host2
-adding birthdays only has an effect until folder is synchronized

[kmail2] [Bug 334996] New: Touchscreen input not detected properly

2014-05-18 Thread bginsburg
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334996

Bug ID: 334996
Summary: Touchscreen input not detected properly
Classification: Unclassified
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.13
  Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ze...@sbcglobal.net

I am running kubuntu 14.04 on an acer iconia tab w500. I have the eGalax
proprietary driver installed, and multitouch is partially working with ginn (no
pinch to zoom yet, but 2-finger scroll and long press for right-click works).
On all other programs, the touchscreen seems to perform adequately, including
other elements of Kontact. So, for example, clicking on a date in Calendar
selects that date - clicking on an event selects that event and double clicking
it opens the editor.

However, in Kmail, clicks with the touchscreen only seem to hover the cursor. I
can't move the scroll bar (they become outlined, but don't move) and I cant
select any element inside of the boxes. So, I can't select a favorite folder,
when I try, the whole favorite folder box is highlighted and nothing happens.
Same behavior for the message list - I click on a message, and I just see a
breif synopsis of the message, it is not selected or preveiwed. I can scroll
through the message list with a 2-finger scroll though.

A USB mouse works as expected.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open kmail
2. Try to select a message from the message list with the touchscreen
3. Try to select a facorite folder with the touchscreen
Actual Results:
kmai registers touch as a move and hover. Not as a left click at the new
cursor location

Expected Results:
Messge or folder would be selected,.

USB mouse works as expected
All other components of Kontact work as expected with the touchscreen

When creating a new key pair, Kleopatra creates the key, but does not prompt
for a passphrase. When I right click on the key pair and click Change
Passphrase the error

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. FileNew Certificate
2. Follow prompts
3. Key pair appears on the certificate list, but no request for passphrase
entry.
Actual Results:
Keys can be used to sign/encrypt material, but no passphrases needed to sign or
decrypt.

Expected Results:
Expectation is that passphrase is necessary for certificate creation, sign, and
decrypt.
