[kmail2] [Bug 337632] search (alt+q) should select existing text in field for faster search

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337632

--- Comment #2 from Pascal d'Hermilly pas...@dhermilly.dk ---
Sorry for being unclear.
I'm suggesting that upon focus in the search field: the existing text in the
field is selected such that any typing will start a new text instead of having
to hold down backspace.

Scenario:
I'm looking for a mail about a meeting and only a few people could have sent
it. First I search after Nina, then after Ole and then after David.
Not having to press backspace 4 times to clear Nina from the first search query
makes it faster and more focused to search for Ole. Instead I just type Ole

This bug is rather old and a lot of work was dne in Tine20 since. I have been
working with Tine20 for more than a year and the issues do not occur (any more)
for me.
I believe this can be closed.

[Akonadi] [Bug 337686] New: Error occurs when a sent email is configured to be placed in the Sent Mail folder of the gmail resource.

2014-07-22 Thread Raymond Wooninck
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=337686

Bug ID: 337686
Summary: Error occurs when a sent email is configured to be
placed in the Sent Mail folder of the gmail resource.
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Gmail resource
  Assignee: dvra...@redhat.com
  Reporter: tittiatc...@gmail.com
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org

If the Identity is configured to place sent emails in a specific folder and
this folder points to the Sent Mail folder of the GMail resource the following
error occurs:

Sending succeeded, but failed to move the message to the sent-mail folder.
Moving items into virtual collection is not allowed.

This leaves the email in the outbox which results that another attempt is made
to send the email and move it to the configured sent-mail folder. And this goes
on and on and on

I can reproduce the problem on Gentoo (amd64). It also happens in the print
preview and when printing into a file (PostScript or pdf). It makes no
difference whether invoking the print dialog from the main window or from
within the standalone message window of the decrypted message.

In my Gmail Account? yes I do. Visible in WebMail and IMAP

I marked the root Drafts folder as do not show in IMAP via the web interface
and the Account is now showing.

Interestingly it still shows the Drafts folder

It's showing the other Drafts folder from [Gmail] folder - the Gmail resource
intentionally flattens the hierarchy (by moving folders from [Gmail] folder to
top-level).

I think the best fix is to merge content of these duplicated folders into the
one visible Drafts folder (or for any other such folder).

I'm not able to reproduce the crash. From the backtrace it looks like that it's
happening in the IMAP resource codebase (or KIMAP codebase), not directly in
Gmail's.

provide the output from Akonadi - there might be some useful information as to
why the linking has failed.

It appears that when I type in overwrite mode in the kmail composer (plain text

space is inserted before it instead).

Sounds like a plan to me.

Unfortunately I'm off to NZ for a few days, so will be unable to test to next
week.

p.s None of the folders except the (ironically) the Spam folder appeared to be
