[Akonadi] [Bug 339449] caldav protocol: Items older than a 3 months (hard coded) are not fetched
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339449 Grégory Oestreicher changed: What|Removed |Added Status|UNCONFIRMED |CONFIRMED CC||g...@kamago.net Ever confirmed|0 |1 --- Comment #3 from Grégory Oestreicher --- (In reply to Stefan Huber from comment #0) > I would suggest that either akonadi should fetch all resources or it gives > the user the option to fetch all events, in case this is intended to be a > performance feature. This was added to prevent the resource from bringing down servers when big calendars were requested. I made the choice to use 3 months as it seemed a good compromise, knowing that it wouldn't suit everybody. Now a configurable dialog to fetch older events was not added because we can't introduce new translatable strings in the UI in a maintenance release. I'm working to add this in the configuration dialog in the master branch. [kmail2] [Bug 339181] moving mails from cached imap to local folder leaves mails without RID
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339181 mau changed: What|Removed |Added CC||b-m...@gmx.ch --- Comment #1 from mau --- I can confirm this observation. It may occur if one copies/moves many mails, but last weekend I had the same behaviour also for moving only two mails into a just newly created folder (in a local maildir). In general, I found that it can happen that - if one creates a new subfolder in a maildir structure, it will not be created on the hard disk, but Kmail shows it and one can put mails into it (seems that the mails stay in the akonadi cache) - if one copies/moves mails to a folder in a maildir, the messages are correctly shown in Kmail but the are not physically on the disk in the corresponding folder (seems again that they stay in the akonadi cache). In my example last weekend, the latter one was the case. This behaviour surely leads to data loss sooner or later! Workaround: If I realize that some messages of a maildir folder are not correctly stored on the hard disk (so they seem to be only in the akonadi cache), I create a temporary new folder in the maildir and copy all mails from the other folder into it; if this worked correctly, I delete all messages of my target folder and move all mails from the temp folder to the target folder (seems to work as well). My system is just new and fast enough; although sufficent speed should not influence reliability, so this is not an argument at all. I observe this behaviour since I started to re-use Kmail & Co., which was with 4.11. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs

[Akonadi] [Bug 339504] New: AKonadi ressource creates folders before user confirmation takes place
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339504 Bug ID: 339504 Summary: AKonadi ressource creates folders before user confirmation takes place Product: Akonadi Version: 4.13 Platform: Archlinux Packages OS: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: minor Priority: NOR Component: Maildir Resource Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: piedro.kul...@googlemail.com Obviously the GUI assistant to create an akonadi ressource does create folder structures on the harddrive before user confirmation by clicking on "ok". Aborting leaves the folder structure on the harddrive... Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. cange local mail folder ressource location to something other than ~/.local/share/local-mail 2. start creating an akonote or another maildir ressource with the akonadi assistant or akonadi console 3. Abort the creation by hitting "abort" Actual Results: a new folder local-mail is created though the user never asked the system to do so. ON the contrary demanded aborting the process... Expected Results: don't create folders until the user hits "ok- I confirm" this seems to be a minor complaint but I belive it is not. the newly created folders interfer with users trying to reset to default, as fodlers are still in place, it's confusing and in the case of knotes creating the "local-mail"-folder it is plain wrong. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
