[Akonadi] [Bug 339430] akonadi_davgroupware_resource: Error when uploading item: 100

2014-11-05 Thread Thomas Roemer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339430

--- Comment #2 from Thomas Roemer tidir...@mediaschredder.org ---
The problem doesn't exist in this environment:
Repository: openSUSE-12.3-Update
Name: kdebase4-session
Version: 4.10.5-1.100.1

I will check later on a openSUSE 13.1 platform the actual update.
Thanks for your great support in our email communication. But I have not enough
time to follow your advise to sniff the communication between imap and akonadi.
I have to anonymize the data, as you recommended before.
Feel free to close the report...
thx a lot

hi, which akonadi backend are you using?

I'm using MySQL, running as my user (not system).

Also, the akonadictl fsck trick doesn't help here. I still need to killall
akonadi_mailfilter_agent and then restart it from withing akonadiconsole.

2014-11-05 Thread Ariel Garcia

--- Comment #14 from Ariel Garcia aog20...@gmail.com ---
Andre, i don't think this could be a duplicate of #339393 .
This issue happens for me with a yahoo account where i have less than 30 mails
/ 1 megabyte in total.

It never ever happens to me with Gmail or with my own Dovecot servers, but it
happens reliably over and over again with Yahoo mail. Kmail hangs (just the
blue blank background waiting for message content) until I restart akonadi with
   akonadictl restart
then everything works fine for a few hours again.
Debian versions akonadi-server 1.13.0-2, kmail 4:4.14.1-1 here.

[kmail2] [Bug 340664] New: Syncs the whole inbox, not just the changes

2014-11-05 Thread SZÉKELYI Szabolcs
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340664

Bug ID: 340664
Summary: Syncs the whole inbox, not just the changes
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.14.1
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: c...@mail.3d.hu

At every startup of Kontact, kmail does a full sync of the Inbox. Having up to
100k messages, this takes a very long time. This is confirmed by network
activity, it downloads the full inbox. Here's a debug log from Akonadi console
while the full sync is running:

[kmail2] [Bug 328315] KMail 4.11.97 doesn´t save changes when the column succession in the income box where changed - reproducable: every time!

Reproducible with openSUSE Linux.

openSUSE 13.1 with KDE 4.11.5 still saved column succession/order and size of
columns.

openSUSE 13.2 with KDE 4.14.2 forgets succession/order and size of columns.

Any updates on this bug-report?

It's very annoying for daily use of KMail.
I know, the column order can be changed by the Message List theme. But the
column size can't.

Additionally I was used (in 4.11.5) to have a Message List theme with a
message-column and a clickable status column (carrying icons for read/unread
and important). In the theme, the status-column was configured to be on the
right, because I wanted to have the message-tree (for message-thread groups) in
the message column.
In KMail (not in the Message List theme editor) I moved that status column to
the left. By that, the tree stayed at the message column. That's exactly the
way I like it!
In general, this still possible. But after restarting KMail the status column
is back at the right side :-(

Just a guess (I'm not very experienced in the KMail sourcecode):

Is this the file responsible for the message-list in KMail?

https://projects.kde.org/projects/kde/kdepim/repository/revisions/v4.11.97/changes/messagelist/pane.cpp

If yes, the problem might be caused by any of the changed between git revision
e2489368 (2013-08-11) and revision 7f9198c6 (2013-11-19)

[kmail2] [Bug 261559] KMail stopped recognizing KWallet for password for specific SMTP server

2014-11-05 Thread Volker Kuhlmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=261559

--- Comment #33 from Volker Kuhlmann list0...@paradise.net.nz ---
I had two SMTP servers with passwords in the mailtransports file. I deleted
both from kwallet, quit kmail, and stopped KDE PIM

akonadictl stop
qdbus org.kde.NepomukServer /nepomukserver org.kde.NepomukServer.quit
mysqladmin --socket=$USER/.local/share/akonadi/socket-$HOST/mysql.socket
shutdown

Starting kmail and composing an email with a sender ID belonging to one of the
SMTP servers under test causes kmail to prompt for the password. Good. However,
when attempting to store it kmail says KWallet is not available. kwalletd is
running afterwrads with no other app started that could have caused kwallet to
be started.

kwallet is not available ? but your password from imap/pop3 is stored in
kwallet.
Very wierd. Perhaps a bug in your old kwallet.

I would not like KMail to change Trash's email's state. I would want Trash to
not show unread count. Trash is folder and I am not sure why anybody would want
to change email's state en masse. I use GMail and GMail deletes email
permanently after 30 days in Trash folder. The problem I have is unread count
which isn't at all helpful. This info is not at all usable. It should be
hidden.
