[kdepimlibs] [Bug 341877] New: circular dependency between kdepimlibs and new split PIM kmailtransport

2014-12-14 Thread Gustavo Alvarez
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341877

Bug ID: 341877
Summary: circular dependency between kdepimlibs and new split
PIM kmailtransport
   Product: kdepimlibs
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Compiled Sources
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: sl1pk...@gmail.com

When try build kdepimlibs:

CMake Error at akonadi-calendar/CMakeLists.txt:33 (find_package):
Could not find a package configuration file provided by KF5MailTransport
(requested version 4.78.0) with any of the following names:

KF5MailTransportConfig.cmake
kf5mailtransport-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of KF5MailTransport to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or
set KF5MailTransport_DIR to a directory containing one of the above
files. If KF5MailTransport provides a separate development package or
SDK, be sure it has been installed.

When build kmailtransport:

CMake Error at CMakeLists.txt:39 (find_package):
Could not find a package configuration file provided by KF5Akonadi
(requested version 4.78.0) with any of the following names:

KF5AkonadiConfig.cmake
kf5akonadi-config.cmake

Add the installation prefix of KF5Akonadi to CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH or set
KF5Akonadi_DIR to a directory containing one of the above files. If
KF5Akonadi provides a separate development package or SDK, be sure it has
  been installed.

-- Configuring incomplete, errors occurred!

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. try build kdepimlibs and kmailtransport from GIT
2. build kdepimlibs
3. build kamiltransport to attempt solve the kdepimlibs dependency

Actual Results:
fail build both in cmake configure

Expected Results:
build

[kmail2] [Bug 341426] Change default to Yes for Keep replies in this folder

2014-12-14 Thread Peter Humphrey
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341426

--- Comment #5 from Peter Humphrey pe...@prh.myzen.co.uk ---
(In reply to Laurent Montel in comment #4)
If you think that you are better send patch and co no ?

I've been retired for 16 years, but before that I was personally responsible
for the whole of the software development and maintenance cycle on a
17-mainframe system distributed over five sites with dual-redundant HDLC links,
scores of thousands of real-time inputs, 10 programming languages, user
construction of complex engineering displays, ... (I needen't go on).
I don't impugn the competence of anybody in particular, but it cannot be denied
that any software development system must be broken if it allows the release of
fiascos like the first few versions of KDE-4, and in particular KMail-2, which
destroyed e-mail collections around the world and drove many previously happy
users to find other ways of managing e-mail.
If anything remotely resembling such humiliations as those had happened on my
watch, the consequences for all those involved - and for electricity supply in
the UK - would have been dire.
I don't wish to blame any one person, as I said, but some quality control is
needed, together with a quality management system (see ISO-9001).

[Akonadi] [Bug 341884] New: dozens of duplicate mails in ~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data

2014-12-14 Thread m . eik michalke
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341884

Bug ID: 341884
Summary: dozens of duplicate mails in
~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 1.13.0
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@reaktanz.de

i noticed that in my ~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data folder there were more
than 15 (150k) mails. a lot of them were duplicates of the same mail,
sometimes 70 copies and more: they all had the same base name/number and ended
in _r0 to _r7x, and diff revealed they are all identical copies.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
it's a standard kubuntu setup of kmail, using the PPA backpurts packages
(4.14.2) with two IMAP resources.

Actual Results:
~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data is crowded with duplicate mail copies.

Expected Results:
i get it that ~/.local/share/akonadi/file_db_data should just be a cache,
akonadi should not copy the same mail over and over again.

if akonadi is aware of some mail already being present (the appended numbering
demonstrates that), it could simply use the existing copy for whatever it is
doing, or at least clean up afterwards. this is an immense waste of disk space.
whatever the circumstances, this clearly shouldn't happen.

[kaddressbook] [Bug 341889] New: selected categories are not shown in edit-contact dialog

2014-12-14 Thread Martin Koller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=341889

  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED

kaddressbook from KDE 4.14.3
When I edit a contact and define one ore more categories for it, they are not
shown when I reopen the edit-contact dialog (double click on the contact).
Although the catgeories are remembered since clicking on the ... button to
the right of the Categories field shows all categories checked which I have
selected, but the QLineEdit inside the details dialog is always empty (it is
filled when I click OK in the categories selection dialog, but is empty when I
open the edit-contact dialog again)

Reproducible: Always

--- Comment #1 from m.eik michalke m...@reaktanz.de ---
i manually called akonadictl fsck. after waiting for some hours, it moved
over 110k of those duplicated mails to a new folder called file_lost+found.
the total disk usage for this unsused stuff is 14,5GB. i call that room for
improvement ;-)
