[knode] [Bug 8206] offline functionality

2015-01-05 Thread Tristan Miller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8206

--- Comment #27 from Tristan Miller psychon...@nothingisreal.com ---
If KNode really is unmaintained, then I suppose it's fine to mark all the KNode
bugs as such. But please don't tell people to use KMail instead unless KNode's
core functionality (i.e., the ability to read and post to newsgroups via NNTP)
really has been integrated into KMail.

[kmail2] [Bug 342508] New: IMAP based messages not being marked as read when reading done via web gui.

2015-01-05 Thread Piotr Gbyliczek
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342508

Bug ID: 342508
   Summary: IMAP based messages not being marked as read when
reading done via web gui.
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: piotr.gbylic...@reconnix.com

When using an IMAP account (Google mail) messages are not being synchronised to
read state when they were viewed through web gui.

Before update to Fedora 21 (KDE 4.14.3) reading message in either KMail or web
gui resulted in that message being marked as read in the other one after short
while.

Right now reading message in KMail does mark them properly so they are marked
read in web gui, but reading message in web gui does not result in it marked as
read in KMail. I've tried to synchronize manually, but neither initiating
Update Folder on specific forder nor Update folder and all it's subfolders
on any of the folders above worked.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Read message via web interface
2. Wait for KMail to do automatic synchronization of the IMAP account.

Actual Results:
Messages read via web interface are not marked as read in KMail

Expected Results:
Messages read via web interface are marked as read in KMail

[kaddressbook] [Bug 332358] Regression: Baloo for tags messes up categories/groups when syncing with external collections (e.g. owncloud)

2015-01-05 Thread Thomas Serries
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332358

--- Comment #20 from Thomas Serries tsfo...@web.de ---
I thought I could use my New Year holidays to have a look at the source to fix
this issue; at least for me. (I have to admit that I do not have much
experience in programming C++).

At first it seemed to be solvable by implementing new methods in
KABC::Addressee that return or take a list or cleartext categories. Conversion
of the cleartext categories to/from the tag urls seemed to be available by
Akonadi::TagFetchJob, Akonadi::TagCreateJob and Akonadi::Tag.

But then I have seen that Akonadi depends on KABC to be compiled.

So this way is not possible as Akonadi depends ok KABC and KABC would depend on
Akonadi.

Is there anybody out there who can help me breaking this cycle?

[kmail2] [Bug 342521] New: RFE: show flags column

2015-01-05 Thread Flavio Leitner
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=342521

Bug ID: 342521
   Summary: RFE: show flags column
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.14.2
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: f...@sysclose.org

I have some messages marked as 'Important' and others as 'Actions'. But I
can't see which folder contains such messages unless I search for those in
every folder.

Therefore I think it would be nice to report in the folder list the number of
flagged messages in their column type.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Flag a message as Important.
2. Try to see on the list of folder which one contains an important message.

Actual Results:
The user needs to search on each folder for special/flagged messages.

Expected Results:
A column in the folder list containing the number of messages when not zero.

It could also change the colour of the folder to highlight when some message is
flagged.

[knode] [Bug 8206] offline functionality

Exactly!

slightly OT:
The really bad thing is, IIRC Knode still has qt3 stuff. So even if just
unmaintained, it is unlikey to work on newer system (kf5, etc.) :-(

However some time on some KDE ML, I have read that some dev was working on
it... I wonder what happend to it...

[kaddressbook] [Bug 332358] Regression: Baloo for tags messes up categories/groups when syncing with external collections (e.g. owncloud)

2015-01-05 Thread Thomas Serries
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=332358

--- Comment #21 from Thomas Serries tsfo...@web.de ---
Some additions: The new methods on KABC:Addressee could be used by
KABC::VCardTool to export categories in cleartext to vcards or read cleartext
categories from vcards and convert them to URLs of the (internally used) tags.

If I would find a fix for this issue I'd be happy to post a patch -- if it will
not break anything and be good enough to be accepted ;-)

Actually the agent is crashing upon access any emails in the sent-folder of the
IMAP account and not just when email is retrieved.

[Akonadi] [Bug 340931] Read status of emails not updated when changed outside KMail, but only for GMail accounts via IMAP

2015-01-05 Thread John Baldwin
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340931

--- Comment #4 from John Baldwin j...@freebsd.org ---
RFC 3501 contains a BNF at the end that specifies this for a flag name:

flag-keyword= atom

atom= 1*ATOM-CHAR

ATOM-CHAR   = any CHAR except atom-specials

atom-specials   = ( / ) / { / SP / CTL / list-wildcards /
  quoted-specials / resp-specials

list-wildcards  = % / *

quoted-specials = DQUOTE / \

resp-specials   = ]

So it does seem that at least ']' is invalid though '[' may be valid.

However, I wonder if those brackets are just in the dialog your test program
showed you and not in the actual flags on your server? I did a manual IMAP
connection to my Cyrus IMAP server and examined one of the e-mails in question.
 I don't see any flags with brackets in their name:

4 select INBOX.njvine
* FLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Draft \Deleted \Seen $Forwarded KMAILFORWARDED
KMAILTODO KMAILWATCHED KMAILIGNORED $TODO $WATCHED $IGNORED Junk NonJunk
$REPLIED)
* OK [PERMANENTFLAGS (\Answered \Flagged \Draft \Deleted \Seen $Forwarded
KMAILFORWARDED KMAILTODO KMAILWATCHED KMAILIGNORED $TODO $WATCHED $IGNORED Junk
NonJunk $REPLIED \*)]
* 763 EXISTS
* 0 RECENT
...
4 OK [READ-WRITE] Completed
5 fetch 763 all
* 763 FETCH (FLAGS (\Seen) INTERNALDATE 23-Dec-2014 16:04:26 -0500
RFC822.SIZE 29456 ENVELOPE ( redacted ))
5 OK Completed (0.000 sec)

As you can see, the only flag on this message is \SEEN, and yet kmail refuses
to consider it read. In akonadiconsole I can confirm that I do not see \SEEN
as a flag for this message even though the server reports \SEEN as set above.
Interestingly, the modification time of the message in akonadiconsole is right
now (Jan 5, 15:32:48 UTC) though it reports a revision of 1 (and the message
itself was marked read via a different mail client (probably Mail on iOS) about
a week ago).

With the volume of e-mail I get each day on various FreeBSD lists, this bug has
made kmail useless for me since things are only counted as read reliably in
kmail on my desktop at home if I only ever read e-mail on my desktop at home.
Entirely defeats the point of using an IMAP server for mail.
