[kontact] [Bug 229534] Kontact hangs with error libakonadi Akonadi::SessionPrivate::socketError: Socket error occurred: "QLocalSocket::connectToServer: Invalid name"

Not sure how useful my addition will be after years. With current Debian Wheezy
I have similar symptoms.
No remote session of any kind, just local X.

Kmail is usable for half a minute or so, and then hangs. No use killing (kill
-15), the application will just hang around. Sometimes it will unfreeze after a
while (5-10 minutes), usually not.

Thanks to the hint about aconadictl above, I was able to at least get a
workaround.

In the log below, kmail hangs at the first or second line. After giving
aconadictl restart, I get the rest of the output and Kmail is responsive again:

I can confirm this behavior. I can add my Owncloud-calendar and the calendar
appears without error in Korganizer. But no events are shown. If I create a new
event, it appears in Korganzizer and short time later in the Webfrontend of my
Owncloud. But not the way back.

This behavior is shown from Korganizer 4.14.4 but the version 4.11.5 of another
installation works well. Two Smartphone synchronize good with my Owncloud in
either direction.

[kmail2] [Bug 344242] New: Mails that are copied do not appear on my harddrive

2015-02-16 Thread piedro
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344242

Bug ID: 344242
Summary: Mails that are copied do not appear on my harddrive
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.14.4
  Platform: Archlinux Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: piedro.kul...@googlemail.com

I created a folder in "Local Folders" called "Storage" and a subfolder called
"Old"

Now I move a few hundred mails to that subfolder.

These mails should be located on my harddisk in

".local/share/.local-mail.directory/.Storage.directory/Old"

but they are not.

I see them in kmail, I can delete or copy them but they do not appear on the
harddisk.
The folder ".local/share/.local-mail.directory/.Storage.directory/Old" does
exist but it is empty (apart from the three empty folders "new", "cur" and
"tmp" of course)

No further hidden directories show up.

Now where is my mail?
How can I physically locate it if it is not written to the disk (which it
should!)?
How can I make a backup of my mailfolders if the mails are not physically in
there?
Are they in a kind of cache somewhere hidden within the akonadi database?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create a subfolder of a new folder in "Loacl Folders" in kmail...
2. copy mails into that subfolder
3. try to locate these folders on your disk

Actual Results:
No mails to be found...

Expected Results:
Mails should be sitting somewhere in "local-mail" or ".local-mail.directory"

By the way if I physically copy mails in the subfolder
".local/share/.local-mail.directory/.Storage.directory/Old"
these mails show up inkmail just fine beneath all the other mails that have no
presence in that folder...

This is an absolute awful bug because it makes handling mail out of kmail near
to impossible (and kmail indicates in no manner at all where the mail is
physically stored)

If kmail would be a rocksolid system that works just fine with internal backups
I might be reluctantly ok with that but kmail breaks all the time so at least
the physical mail locations should be transparent for easy backups and the
possibility to import everything into other mail programs.

Even more annoying I also have folders in kmail with so called "invalid
entries". These folders cannot be deleted within kmail and since they are not
found physically I can#T delete them elsewhere either.

[kmail2] [Bug 340759] deleting duplicate mails has no effect

2015-02-16 Thread Martin Steigerwald
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=340759

Strange, on testing to delete duplicates again with similar versions it now
worked.

I still use KDEPIM 4.14.2. But I use akonadi server 1.13 branch from git except
of 1.13.0-2 patches. I use c733429f4fa9696fb027ddc946e54f6bbb68deaf of 1.13
branch but it just contains some performance improvements I think.

Anyway, now on synthetically testing it for me it worked for maildirs.

Bug 344227 - choosing to delete duplicates leaves copies mails of every
duplicated mail (edit)

may be related. I will test whether deleting duplicates will delete all but one
duplicate of each duplicated mail.

[kmail2] [Bug 344227] New: choosing to delete duplicates leaves two mails of every duplicate

2015-02-16 Thread Martin Steigerwald
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344227

Bug ID: 344227
Summary: choosing to delete duplicates leaves two mails of
every duplicate
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 4.14.2
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: folders
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: m...@teamix.de

I had some mail duplication and on choosing to delete duplicates it worked
partially.

It delete all duplicates except one. I.e. for each mail that that more than one
duplicate it delete those. But I still have two copies of each duplicated mail.

This is different from Bug 340759 - deleting duplicate mails has no effect
where I didn´t see an effect at all. But that was with local maildir folders.
This one is with Exchange IMAP. But then it might be that its related still, as
I am not sure whether I actually had mails in there duplicated more than once.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a folder.
2. Duplicate some mails several times
2. Choose "Folder/Delete duplicates" (don´t know the exact translation, as I
use KMail with german localization)
3.

Actual Results:
All duplicates of one mail are deleted, except one, so that I have two mails
for each duplicate mail, instead of one.

Expected Results:
One mail for each previously duplicated mail.

[Akonadi] [Bug 335090] Akonadi Dav Resource: Broken State / Unexpected Error 401

2015-02-16 Thread Alejandro Lorenzo

I started to look into this a while back, but then real life® got in the way.
It should be possible to take conflict resolution from google resource and port
it to the Dav resource, but someone has to do it :/
