[Akonadi] [Bug 345305] New: Save tags in xattr when it makes sense
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345305 Bug ID: 345305 Summary: Save tags in xattr when it makes sense Product: Akonadi Version: unspecified Platform: Other OS: All Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: wishlist Priority: NOR Component: Tag Resource Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org Reporter: lftab...@yahoo.es Currently, tags are stored in the akonadi database only. For some resources, like local folders, I would like to see the tags stored also in the xattr of the file, similar to what baloo does with regular files. In my opinion, if akonadi is only a cache, then deleting the database should yield as few data loss as possible. [kmail2] [Bug 344242] Mails that are copied do not appear on my harddrive
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=344242 --- Comment #4 from Knut Hildebrandt knut.hildebra...@gmx.de --- After rescanning my local mail archive - which temporally let grow file_db_data up to 10.000 files again - I could not reproduce this behaviour anymore. Everything seems to work as expected now. Well, bad news. What I wrote recently is not one hundred percent true. I did some testing copying one or more messages at a time. Everything looked alright. But when I moved a whole thread today only the first message was actually copied physically, even though all messages showed up in Local Folders. After more testing I found out that only the first message is physically copied to the subfolders of ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory when several messages are moved. This explains why not all messages were missing in my local archive. As I described before, my usual procedure is moving message or whole threads of messages from the IMAP accounts after making a backup copy there. BTW, archiving the affected folder and importing it after deleting the original copied all the mail files into the ~/.local/share/.local-mail.directory. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Kdepim-bugs mailing list Kdepim-bugs@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kdepim-bugs
