this should be reopened.

i'm getting a kmail2 crash with this Timeout trying to get lock error message
almost daily when kmail2 is launched automatically after login. i have to stop
and restart akonadi then and then start kmail manually for it to finally work.

it's going on for weeks now.

this is with kubuntu 14.04 packages (kontact 4.14.2)

[kmail2] [Bug 350108] New: kmail crashes sometimes when left in background

2015-07-11 Thread Vidar Løkken
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350108

Bug ID: 350108
Summary: kmail crashes sometimes when left in background
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: vida...@bitsex.net

Application: kmail (4.14.9)
KDE Platform Version: 4.14.9
Qt Version: 4.8.6
Operating System: Linux 4.1.0-4.gbab8328-desktop x86_64
Distribution: openSUSE 13.2 (Harlequin) (x86_64)

-- Information about the crash:
kmail left running in background. After some time it crashes. I do not see any
specific pattern to the crashes; they happen from time to time, and I am not
able to conciously reproduce them, as I do not know what I do to produce them.

If anyone has suggestions for what to attempt, please sound the horn to me :)

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

[kmail2] [Bug 350059] Filters in kmail no longer functional

2015-07-11 Thread Rewarp
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=350059

--- Comment #2 from Rewarp rew...@thestrayworld.com ---
I see what you mean. The filters have decided to work again on their own!

The filters have on occasion failed to work on my Kubuntu 14.04 setup as well.
Thanks for the tip for getting them to work again.
