[kmail2] [Bug 351004] mails saved as Drafts lose wordwrap and get hard linebreaks

2015-08-12 Thread yuzyk
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351004

Directed by responses on the kde-pim mailing list I see that it was my
understanding of some KMail settings that led me to file this bug and so I
would like to un-file it. The bug was in me. :)

[kmail2] [Bug 351218] New: missing in-reply-to and references headers in some outgoing reply emails

2015-08-12 Thread Andreas Knüpfer
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=351218

Bug ID: 351218
Summary: missing in-reply-to and references headers in some
outgoing reply emails
   Product: kmail2
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: Kubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: knuep...@arcor.de

When I reply to emails then sometimes (but not always) the in-reply-to and
references headers are missing. This leads to improper threading of mails in
the receivers email clients.

I found this in one of my email accounts that I manage in the same kmail
instance. There it happens frequently when I reply to emails but not always. It
is the same kmail instance in the same KDE session.

I did not see a certain pattern yet why it is correct in some cases but missing
in other cases. It seems to happen only in email threads with many recipients,
though.

The version is 4.14.6-0ubuntu1, this version was not selectable in the list of
versions above,

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Reply to an email, by default I use BCC to self
2. check message source if in-reply-to and references headers are there

Actual Results:
Sometimes the in-reply-to and references headers are there, sometimes not

Expected Results:
in-reply-to and references headers should always be there when the message
was a reply to another message

Apparently there is an issue in the kmail GUI that freezes it whenever you

I used perf -a to record what happened while I was trying to compose a new

  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: config dialog
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: ericsbinarywo...@gmail.com

While looking through the Kmail options today, I saw that for large
attachments, Kmail can send the file to dropbox and generate the link. But when
I try to authorize Dropbox to Kmail, the website that's loaded doesn't work. I
can type in my username/password, but the website doesn't recognize that I've
typed anything and so the button to authorize it never becomes ungreyed.

If it helps solve what the problem is, the placeholder text that tells you what
to type into the box remains superimposed over what I'm typing. In normal
operation on websites, this text disappears when the user starts typing.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to config for attachments
2. Try to configure dropbox
3. Type in username (I think it's email) and password
4. Try to click on the button to authorize it

Actual Results:
Can't click button because it (apparently) doesn't know I'm typing

Expected Results:
Should allow me to authorize dropbox.
