Thanks for your reports. I can reproduce the problem using a single 11gb file.
Strangely enough signing that same file works and running sha1sum from gpg4win
also works.

Looks like some timeout in kleo.

The gpg-agent does the caching so this would be a gnupg "bug" but this is
intentional behavior which can be configured.

Kleopatra offers UI for this configuration:
Settings -> Configure Kleopatra -> GnuPG System -> GPG Agent -> "set maximum
PIN cache lifetime to N seconds"
change this to zero.

This is fixed in kdepim/kf5 at least - although I can't create top-level
folders in my GMail account at all anymore (I seem to remember a commit to that
effect, it was a deliberate change)... I can create subfolders of toplevel
folders in KMail and that works fine.
Toplevel folders ("labels") created in the web interface do show up.

Thank you Michał for your report and commenters. It is about a version of
KMail which uses Nepomuk and is unmaintained. Thus closing. If you still see
performance issues please open new reports. But please follow the following
guide lines to avoid unnecessary work for the developers:

- Ideally test with KDEPIM and Akonadi 15.08. It contains some performance
improvements like the binary protocol.

- Otherwise at least use KDEPIM 4.14.10 and newest Akonadi 1.13 you can get as
it already contains some performance improvements.

- If you can wait, please retest with KDEPIM and Akonadi 15.12 once they become
available for you. Akonadi 15.12 will contain *massive* performance
improvements implemented by Dan due to new database indexes, optimized queries
and leveled file_db directory. All of these are in master already, so if you
dare use kdesrc-build to compile KF5, kdepim and kdepim-runtime. I am using
this currently and it basically moves the bottleneck to KMail (slow threading
for example). It is a *huge* improvement. Also Volker and others work on
performance improvements in KMail as well.

- Also always just report one issue per report. If you have several different
issues open a report for each issue.

- Only open new reports after having researched whether someone reported the
issue already.

Thank you and greetings from KDE Randa Meetings,
Martin

effect anymore. Thank you and greetings from KDE Randa Meetings, Martin

Sure, Giuseppe. Thats marvellous. Thank you. Please always test at least with
latest KDEPIM 4.14 + latest Akonadi 1.13 (bug your distribution about including
at least some of the newer commits in 1.13 branch in git, Debian maintainer has
done it). Please also do not report new performance bugs until at least having
tried KDEPIM/Akonadi 15.08 or even better wait for 15.12. Especially 15.12 will
contain massive performance improvements in both Akonadi and KMail.

Do not try to delete bug reports stuff. Just set them as RESOLVED/WORKSFORME or
something else that fits. If you can´t please make a comment and Cc me to bug
report then I will do it. In case you also want to help to triage other bugs,
join #kontact on Freenode and ask about it. So someone can give you Bugzilla
karma to do it. I can also give you some guidance on how to do it. (There is no
documentation yet, at least not for KDEPIM, I think.)

Closing report as resolved. Thank you, Martin

I agree emphatically.
Who is able to change the status of this bug to or from FIXED?
Whoever that is apparently never reads bug reports.
How old is this bug? I see from comment 1 in January 2012 that it was already
old hat then.
Why is the bug so difficult to remedy? Since it can be got around by going to
akonadi console it cannot be beyond human ingenuity.

Same here on Fedora 21 with kmail 4.14.9-1 and akonadi 1.13.0-16: for an IMAP
account (with messages downloaded for offline use, server-side subscriptions
enabled), I cannot create top level folders from kmail (the contextual menu
doesn't have the option and the main menu has the option greyed out), but the
creation of a folder still works fine from akonadiconsole.

The Imap server seems to be "SquirrelMail version 1.4.23".

Could be similar to bug 342381 but I never had a corrupted feeds.opml in KDE4.

On each akregator crash, even if no feed was added/deleted/changed/whatever,
akregator claims feeds.opml is corrupted.

Nothing really useful in the output except this

Hi folks,

it does not seem to be linked solely to Kontact/Akonadi on the KDE side.
I have the same effect at home (using latest owncloud 8.1.1).

I'm connected using latest Kontact ruinning KUbuntu 15.04 using KDE Frameworks
5.12.0.
My wife however is using Mac OS-X 10.6.x - and the OS-X Calendar application of
that version.

Thing is - both these systems show the described behavior in this bug-report.

Only on her iPad mini and on my Android devices - do we not see this error.

Hello Martin,

No, also in this case I haven't seen it again after update to KDEPIM 4.14.
Should I check and eventual delete other bugs, which I reported about kmail?
But ... do I have as apps user the access right to delete them?

Have a nice day
Giuseppe
