I'm really missing an edit button for comments.
Here is the output directly before the crash, not sure it helps but won't hurt
to show it:

I can confirm that with kmail2 4.81 beta1, but with the us dictionary some
crashes go away but not all I still can't use forward->in text.

[Akonadi] [Bug 352779] New: Akonadi significantly slow down the login process.

2015-09-15 Thread Weng Xuetian
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352779

Bug ID: 352779
Summary: Akonadi significantly slow down the login process.
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Chakra
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: server
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: wen...@gmail.com

I'm using KF5 (5.14.0) with qt5 based akonadi (15.08.1).

When akonadi is started automatically on the login (e.g. korganizer or kalarm
request it), the whole login process is slow down by tens of seconds.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. enable korganizer daemon
2. login to the system

Actual Results:
ksplash progress bar stuck at the 80% for very long time.

Expected Results:
login faster than that.

[Akonadi] [Bug 352623] DAV-Groupware ressource crashes if the server is not reachable when akonadi comes up

2015-09-15 Thread jean-pierre.hoehmann
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352623

--- Comment #2 from jean-pierre.hoehm...@gmx.de ---
I do not know if this is important or not, but the error dialogs will keep
appearing at boot, until the ressource is deleted via the Akonadi Console, but
they do not show up everytime (if they do show up their count is exactly 10
everytime).

I wasn't able to install kdepim 15.08 but I could still reproduce it with
4.14.9 and 4.14.10.
I guess I don't understand why this option exists in the first place. As I
wrote in a commend above, the config value changed to 1 without me
(intentionally) doing it. And 1 is far too low, the standard seems to be 200.
Plus there seems to be an additional bug since the error message appears when
entering the last possible email address. (My guess is that this is because
kmail immediately adds another input field for an additional email address when
the user starts to enter an email address.)

I made two screen shots:
The first shows the config option in question - marked with a red border.
The second shows the error message and the composer in the background with 2 of
the 3 allowed email addresses entered without any error; but entering the first
character of the third email address triggers the error message.

[Akonadi] [Bug 352749] New: Unable to sync calendar events from KOrganizer to the Kolab server

2015-09-15 Thread Luca Beltrame
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=352749

Bug ID: 352749
Summary: Unable to sync calendar events from KOrganizer to the
Kolab server
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: Kolab Resource
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: lbeltr...@kde.org
CC: kdepim-bugs@kde.org

When creating events in KOrganizer using a Kolab resource, said events are not
synced back to the Kolab server. Communication in the opposite way works well
(events created e.g. in Roundcube will get synced back to KOrganizer).

Forcing a sync from KOrganizer doesn't help, either.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an event in KOrganizer and force a resource sync
2. Check the corresponding side on the server (e.g. in Roundcube) for the
presence of the event

Actual Results:
The event created in KOrganizer is not present on the server.

Expected Results:
The event created in KOrganizer is present on the server.

Latest libkolab from the 1.0 branch, latest libkolabxml from master, git master
of all frameworks and PIM.

Thanks, works!

Programs started by kMail to open attachments now display their window behind
the kMail main window - can this have something to do with the way the
application is invoked? Before, the viewer windows was displayed in front of
the (blocked) kMail window.

I have similar situation in kubuntu 15.04
Knotes 4.14.6

From time to time when my system starts and after KDE login,
knotes does not list any notes.
I have to go to configure/collections/folders (not
configure/collections/account) and uncheck "Notes" and click OK.
Then I back to configure/collections/folders and check notes again Knotes
starting to show notes as should.
