Are you sure that you don't have old plugin ?
(so could you remove all opt/kde5/lib64/plugins/pimcommon/*.so and reinstall
them please ?)
For me you have an old plugin as google plugin which was disabled.

[akregator] [Bug 354229] New: feeds are loaded/retrieved at startup even when not required

2015-10-22 Thread Cyril Chaboisseau via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354229

Bug ID: 354229
Summary: feeds are loaded/retrieved at startup even when not
required
   Product: akregator
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Debian unstable
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: chaboiss...@bigfoot.com

ever since the upgrade of KDE 5.4 (from version 4), akregator retrieves all the
feeds when the session is launched even when it is configured NOT to
the parameter in akregatorrc is
Fetch On Startup=true
when akregator is configured to load all feeds when launched
but the same line disappear from the config file when it is unset (maybe the
parameter is checked to be "false")

the problem doesn't seem to occur when akregator is closed (i.e. quit) and
relaunched again

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. configure akregator NOT to fetch feeds at startup
2. quit session and log in back again
3. akregator is started from previous session

Actual Results:
all feeds are downloaded while they shouldn't according to the configuration

Expected Results:
the number of feeds stays the same as before the logout
(I usually have a count of unread feeds to be zero, but every time I log on,
the RSS feeds are all loaded)

it was never the case before in KDE 4.x and previous versions
I use version 4.14.10 of kdepim/akregator

maybe it's a plasma/launcher/kdeinit/... bug rather than akregator as the
regression appeared when migration to KDE 5.x

n.b.: this is obviously a minor bug, but I could not define it as such as there
is no workaround

Same issue here with Arch Linux, except that emails can only be checked each
time akonadi server is restarted. The akonadi server log is full of errors:

"Cannot connect to agent instance with identifier 'akonadi_maildir_resource_0',
error message: 'Could not get owner of name
'org.freedesktop.Akonadi.Resource.akonadi_maildir_resource_0': no such name'"

MySQL server log does not contain errors.

That is definitely possible. I've just removed all plugins in the pimcommon

various bits of kdepim or is kdepim itself enough?

I have encountered the same problem (kmail crashes in most attempts) here with
a very similar stack trace that ends up crashing in _gpgme_ath_mutex_lock in
libgpgme.so. It might be some rushing conditions there. Considering that we
are in a multi-threaded environment, I tried to run kmail with

LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/libgpgme-pthread.so.11 kmail

in Arch Linux and it seems to be solving the problem and all encryption
features work fine. I am not sure libgpgme-pthread is the proper library that
kmail shall link to though; even in that case the problem can be in cmake or
elsewhere.
