--- Comment #8 from Jan-Matthias Braun  ---
Hi!

I am seeing similar behaviour since 16.04.x, and checked up to 16.04.2 and
16.04-git.
I am using qt 5.7, xapian 1.4, frameworks 5.23, and mariadb 10.1.14 on gentoo,
too.

One of my backtraces looks like this and is only partially usable:

Now I have installed all debug symbols, but now I can only see mini-backtraces
with even less information:
0: akonadiserver() [0x572666]
1: akonadiserver() [0x572982]
2: /lib64/libc.so.6(+0x33250) [0x7fa0e1fe9250]

which leaves me at a loss for useful info. (I am not even getting dr konqi, I
have to grab the debug info from the akonadi logs.)

I am using a bunch of imap-servers including one akonadi-ews account. I have
contacts and calendars in owncloud. These seem to get disabled all the while.

What can I do to improve debugging information?

Cheers,

Jan

[kmail2] [Bug 364929] New: kmail->view->headers-> menu empty, and selected messages show no header, if kdepim-addons is not installed

2016-06-30 Thread Rex Dieter via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=364929

Bug ID: 364929
   Summary: kmail->view->headers-> menu empty, and selected
messages show no header, if kdepim-addons is not
installed
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.2.1
  Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: message list
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: rdie...@math.unl.edu

$ rpm -q kmail kdepim-addons
kmail-16.04.2-1.fc24.x86_64
package kdepim-addons is not installed

$Summary says it all, when kdepim-addons is not installed,
kmail->view->headers-> menu empty, and selected messages show no header

After debugging and discussing a bit on irc,
 ok, looks like we moved one template too many to the plugins :D

Reproducible: Always

[Akonadi] [Bug 361157] Akonadi does not work properly after Update to KDE FW 5.20, Plasma 5.6 and Qt5.6 on Opensuse Leap 42.1

2016-06-30 Thread Jay Ambee via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361157

--- Comment #22 from Jay Ambee  ---
Hello,

further development: Since installing Ot 5.6.1, KDE FW 5.23, Plasma 5.6.95 and
Kontact 5.2.2 (in Apps 16.04.2) the Problem seems to be gone. Akonadi/Kontact
"survived" several restarts and seems to be working stable again (which
actually wasn't the case before). Since I have not changed any of my
configurations, there must have been some bug in the apps or in the interplay
of the different libs. If I were asked I would suspect something in the address
book part of the apps or libs, but that's just a guess.
Sorry, I can't help any further for now, but if the bug crosses my ways again I
will certainly report.

Thanks for your help anyway ...

Jay
