Yes, only happens for signed mail. I filed this ticket a few months ago and
haven't noticed the problem recently (I'm running OpenSUSE Tumbleweed now), so
I suspect it was either fixed in kmail or fixed in opensuse packaging. I'll
mark it resolved since I can't reproduce. I'll re-open with better info/details
if necessary. Thanks!

It happened again and after about 20 minutes of huge CPU load, I gave up and
did a `akonadictl restart`
