[kmail2] [Bug 368535] New: Messageviewer: Line pitch too small on high dpi settings

2016-09-10 Thread Tom Mittelstädt via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=368535

Bug ID: 368535
Summary: Messageviewer: Line pitch too small on high dpi
settings
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.1.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: misc
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: tom-kde.b...@monster-box.de

The line pitch in the messageviewer is (way) too small in a high dpi
environment:

System dpi setting: 166
Font: Noto Mono 10pt
Leading in messageviewer: only 1-2px(!) (screenshot attached)

Using 10pt font size I'd expect a line pitch of 12-15pt to make thinks easily
readable.
However the lines are partly overlapping.

Reproducible: Always

Stephan, do you use threaded mail list view when moving mails around? If so,
this is probably a duplicate of bug 364994, although the top of the stacktrace

2016-09-10 Thread via KDE Bugzilla

Bug ID: 368538

Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Reporter: m...@mwsys.mine.bz

Commit 85e1237c543e4e4119ef51c34870c8dc79d14dc2 changed from
socket->setProtocol(QSsl::TlsV1);
to socket->setProtocol(QSsl::TlsV1_0);

Qt5 also provides socket->setProtocol(QSsl::TlsV1_0OrLater). This would set
tls1.0 as a minimun instead as tls1.0 as only option.

I'm not sure I understand the issue here correctly. Are you saying that when

[Akonadi] [Bug 367892] During folder synchronisation Akonadi blocks out other operations like deleting or viewing mails

2016-09-10 Thread Martin Steigerwald via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=367892

Hello Daniel. I am talking about the visible response in KMail. I did not check
if there is something happening on the IMAP server. For IMAP, in company with
Exchange, but I also tested with Dovecot IMAP on my private server, it is
really easy to trigger here: Hit delete key on mails in the same folder until
Akonadi starts folder synchronization. Then hit delete key again. KMail will
grey out the mail, but only remove it from the list after folder
synchronization is complete. To me it seems like Akonadi postpones any
interactive user requests until a folder synchronization is complete.

For me two things don´t make sense:

1) Why does it synchronize the folder anyway when I hit delete the folder mail
list several times? To make sure the IMAP server has done its work?

2) Postponing user input just leads to user frustration. As a user I expect
Akonadi to handle background tasks like folder synchronization as background
tasks.

Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: major

When setting the scaling factor in the system settings, the content of the

Actual Results:
Content is shown in the middle of the screen, marking text is broken, font is
too small

Expected Results:
Content starts at the beginning of the screen, font is scaled, text selection
is working
