mapquest works fine
And why it's obsolete ?
Ok I can add openstreetmap but why it's better than mapquest ?

I asked about an official statement for this on IRC, and noone knew about one.
On the other hand, I couldn't find a statement that there would ever be support
by KDE (PIM) devs for PIM versions other than the most recent. But maybe this
topic should be discussed in the forums or on some mailinglist.

[akregator] [Bug 369500] New: Links in Feed are not opened in external browser anymore

2016-09-28 Thread Jan Sommer via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369500

Bug ID: 369500
Summary: Links in Feed are not opened in external browser
anymore
   Product: akregator
   Version: 5.3.0
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: internal browser
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: summers...@web.de

In the Settings->Browser I have configured to open links in an external
browser.
However, if I follow a link in an article instead it opens a new Akregator
window where the link is opened.

This only happens with the links in the article itself. If I click on the
"Complete Story"-Link at the end of the article, it is correctly opened in my
browser.

The same happens if I set the option to "Open in Tab". "Complete Story" opens a
new tab inside Akregator. A normal link in the article opens an extra window of
the internal browser.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set the browser settings to external browser
2. Click a link in an article
3.

Actual Results:
The link is opened in a new Akregator-Window (the internal browser, I guess)

Expected Results:
The link should be opened in the external browser

David, do you perchance know the number of the bug you mentioned? I just tried
to reproduce the drag+drop thingy myself, and was surprised to find that I
cannot drag attachments at all. I'd like to know if this is related.

Apart from that, this bug might be an INVALID candidate, since even a
prerequisite for the feature in question seems to be broken.

I'm on KMail 5.3.0 KDE 5.26.0 on Fedora 24.

But honestly I had forgotten about this bugreport and I don't really use KMail
anymore (sorry, using webmail most of the time). Since no-one else have
reported something like this, I doubt it's important and you can just close the

I switched to QtWebKit in 5.2.x
I switched to QtWebEngine in 5.3.x
So we need to test in new version.

For testing it we need to know which is the feed url.

Looks like this is related to this bug in the nouveau driver, because of the
use of multithreading in qtwebengine:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=91632

Kmail now uses qtwebengine.

Hopefully there will be a fix for nouveau soon, as more and more programs use
qtwebengine (qupzilla etc.).

Janos, thanks for reporting back. Both bug reporters and developers of KDE PIM
are still quite active, although we'd definitely need more developers for this
huge project. Since resources are sparse, nobody has the time to look at every
bug report, and sure not for bug reports that noone seems to have encountered
in a long time.

Anyway, setting this to confirmed.

Thanks, lord rel. Someone confirmed it for POP3 in another thread already.

[kaddressbook] [Bug 369489] New: please use openstreetmap instead of mapquest

2016-09-28 Thread Philippe ROUBACH via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369489

Bug ID: 369489
Summary: please use openstreetmap instead of mapquest
   Product: kaddressbook
   Version: unspecified
  Platform: openSUSE RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR

  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org

opensuse 42.1 x86_64
kaddressbook 16.04.3

in kaddressbook settongs in "display address in a map"

- nothing is set by default
- the option mapquest is obsolete, it does not work anymore.

i suggest to set openstreetmap by default

i have experimented this solution since mapquest does not work.

this command is a good substitute

https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=%s,%l,%c

Reproducible: Always

[kmail2] [Bug 369485] New: Kmail crashes randomly at startup (struggle to connect to Akonadi)

2016-09-28 Thread Christian Saemann via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369485

Bug ID: 369485
Summary: Kmail crashes randomly at startup (struggle to connect
to Akonadi)
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.3.0
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: christian.saem...@gmx.de

When starting kmail or kmail in kontact after booting up, it randomly crashes.
The UI appears, a message box says: (translating from German) "A severe error
occured in the e-mail-program. The program is terminated." Clicking on OK
closes kmail. (It seems that new mails etc. are downloaded in the background.)

Starting 4-5 times seems to guarantee to get kmail up running. My impression
(and from the result listed below) is that it's struggling to connect to
Akonadi.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. start kmail or kontact

Actual Results:
Kmail/Kontact crashes.

The output to a terminal when the crash happens:

Pass a valid window to KWallet::Wallet::openWallet().
 void AdblockManager::reloadConfig() false

Bug ID: 369484
Summary: Sync of To-Do List with GMAIL TASKS lead to crash
   Product: kontact
   Version: 5.1.3
  Platform: Ubuntu Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Keywords: drkonqi
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: calogerozarb...@gmail.com

Application: kontact (5.1.3)

Qt Version: 5.5.1
Operating System: Linux 4.4.0-38-generic x86_64
Distribution: Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS

-- Information about the crash:
- What I was doing when the application crashed:
I was testing why To-Do list in Korganizer is not able to create sub-to-do list
if you are editing a GMAIL TASK calendar. For this reason, I tried de activate
and re-activate that calendar, leading to crash.

The crash can be reproduced sometimes.

I see this has been marked "resolved" but there are no details - perhaps
someone could explain?

BTW further tests - I "configured completion" and remove baloo search which has
tidied up the results a lot but not fixed the basic problem - no completion
until I've typed something and then deleted it.

[kmail2] [Bug 334409] Drag and drop to a shell doesn't work for multiple files

2016-09-28 Thread davidblunkett via KDE Bugzilla
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334409

I can't check this in 5.1.3 because the smart attachments feature is broken -
this is a known and reported bug which I think is fixed upstream but not in my
distro yet. As far as I can tell in 5.1.3 drag and drop of multiple files is
not possible (I can't select multiple attachments to drag them).

https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=348364

I cannot confirm this for 5.1.3 because searching is broken there and all
search produce no results regardless of the logic filters applied.

same behaviour here.
i've also found this workaround:
changing the standard templates by removing %QUOTE and adding both %TEXT and
%FORCEDHTML show the original message(s) correctly but without quote.
