Please ask for help in a user forum of your distribution. If you cannot use
your keyboard in GTK applications, it is certainly no KMail issue.

The cyrus-sasl version is 2.1.26 (without any patches). It would appear the
sasl.h header from that version is missing a #include . I found I
can work around the issue and get kmailtransport to compile by adding #include
 to kioslave/src/smtp/command.h.

Cheers, but did not work. I still have to write at least 1 letter in the TO
field and then rub it out before it will auto fill the address from my personal
address book :(

Just had a large update for kmail, akonadi, pim etc etc so thought it might be
fixed but unfortunately not in my case.

mint 18
plasma 5.8.4
framework 5.28.0
QT 5.6.1
kernal 4.4.0-53
Kmail 5.2.3

But thx.

After the upgrade to neon LTS with akonadi 4:16.12.0-0neon+16.04+build2 kmail
does not recieve or send mails. After creating a new user I get the message
"failed to append item". In aconadiconsole there was a hint about mysql
incorrect datetime values. After some research I found this:
sql-mode="ERROR_FOR_DIVISION_BY_ZERO,NO_ZERO_DATE,NO_ZERO_IN_DATE,NO_AUTO_CREATE_USER"
I put this line to ~.local/share/mysql.cnf and akonadi was able to write to the
database again. This options can also be found as comment under
# TODO: make Akonadi work with those settings enabled

[kmail2] [Bug 369572] Regression kMail 5.3.1 QtWebEngine: HTML mail printing not possible if plain text view is preferred over HTML

2016-12-17 Thread PeterF
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=369572

PeterF changed:

   What|Removed |Added

 CC||peter.fink...@inode.at

Has this fix been lost in a regression again ?
I still can't print email directly in Kmail (just upgraded to 5.4.0 on Arch
Linux)?
qt5-webengine 5.7.1-1 (qt qt5) is also installed.
Thanks
Peter

[kmail2] [Bug 373159] Kmail 5.3.0 does not show HTML Mails anymore

I have exactly the same issue with my KDE Neon setup. It didn't change after
upgrading to Kde Apps 16.12, Kmail still doesn't honor the "Prefer HTML to
plain text" setting in message list. After restarting Kmail, this setting is
ignored, however, when I recheck it in Kmail settings, and press "Apply", it
gets instantly applied.
Previous bug 366002 is now resolved fixed but, this issue is 100% reproductible
for me.
