Somewhere along the way, this issue was positively resolved: The quicksearch
filter fields are now (at least since 5.3.0, cannot recall exactly) selected
via a dropdown menu that is opened by clicking on a small filter symbol inside
the quicksearch bar, which seems to be a custom widget now.

Correct me if I'm wrong and I'll reopen.

[akregator] [Bug 375119] New: Preview Browser does not remember zoom

2017-01-15 Thread Bogdan Mihaila
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375119

Bug ID: 375119
Summary: Preview Browser does not remember zoom
   Product: akregator
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: internal browser
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: bogdan.miha...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Steps to reproduce:
1. Change the zoom level of the preview browser using Ctrl+ or Ctrl- or the
Mouse wheel while holding Ctrl pressed.
2. Navigate through the same feed -> Zoom level of Web Browser stays same
3. Navigate to another feed -> Zoom level is reset

Expected behavior is to have the zoom level remembered even when changing the
feed and not reset.

It is interesting because it seems the zoom value itself is remembered between
feeds but just not applied to the browser. This can be seen when changing the
feed and then again changing the zoom of the browser. Even though the browser
shows the page scaled for zoom 0 when changing the zoom it suddenly applies the
remembered value and the zoom is modified from that value on.

[akregator] [Bug 375118] New: Opens article in external browser if when 'load full website' option set

2017-01-15 Thread Bogdan Mihaila
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375118

Bug ID: 375118
Summary: Opens article in external browser if when 'load full
website' option set
   Product: akregator
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Neon Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: general
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: bogdan.miha...@gmx.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Hi

When selecting the option "Load the full website when reading articles" for a
particular feed each article gets opened in the external browser instead of
just showing the website in the internal preview browser. This behavior/bug
seems to have been introduced in latest browser component related changes as
the package from Ubuntu Yaketty (16.04.3-0ubuntu2) does not have the bug.

Expected behavior is the old one, i.e. show the full website in the internal
preview browser and do not open it in the external browser. Currently it is
impossible to have that option "load full website" set as just walking through
the list of articles (with e.g. left, right arrow keys) opens up a new tab in
the external browser.

Also the bug seems to be related to the "Configure Internal Browser Component"
settings because whatever is chosen in the "Left Mouse Click" Drop down box as
an action, i.e. "Open in Tab/Bakground Tab/External Browser" will be executed
when navigating/reading articles in a feed. Above option though is only meant
(and was used like that before) when clicking links in the preview browser.

The above behavior is not triggered for feeds that do not have "Load the full
website when reading articles" option set.

[Akonadi] [Bug 375104] New: Crash during shutdown: ASSERT: "mDev" in datastream_p_p.h:89

2017-01-15 Thread Denis Kurz
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=375104

Bug ID: 375104
Summary: Crash during shutdown: ASSERT: "mDev" in
datastream_p_p.h:89
   Product: Akonadi
   Version: 5.4.1
  Platform: Gentoo Packages
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: crash
  Priority: NOR
 Component: server
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kde...@posteo.de
  Target Milestone: ---

I created a new search folder in KMail for all mails in a folder (without
subfolders) where the subject contains a certain string. The search gives the
correct results, but when I open the search folder afterwards (or any other
folder for that matter) and click on a message, it indefinitely says
"Retrieving folder contents" in the message viewer widget. "akonadictl stop"
then leads to a crash if akonadiserver.

Steps to reproduce:
0. Make sure to restart both KMail and Akonadi
1. Open "Tools -> Find messages", any search criteria, click "Search"; make
sure the search folder you choose does not already exist
2. Click "Open search folder" in the search dialog; alternatively, close the
search dialog and navigate to the new search folder manually
3. Click any message in the message list widget
4. Stop Akonadi using "akonadictl stop" or "akonadictl restart"

Actual result:
After 3., "Fetching folder contents"
After 4., Akonadi crashes

Expected result:
After 3., message is displayed in the message viewer
After 4., Akonadi stops without crashing

Reproducible:
* always, if I did nothing else before the steps described above (which is the
reason for Step 0)
* sometimes, otherwise

This results in a crash no matter the build type (Debug or Release). In Debug
mode, I found this line in bash, after all the "Application ... exitted
normally" lines:

"ASSERT: "mDev" in file
/home/denis/kde/src/akonadi/src/private/datastream_p_p.h, line 89"

The backtrace of the crash according to DrKonqi for the Debug build (Release
build doesn't yield any information at all):

Application: akonadiserver (akonadiserver), signal: Aborted

Hi

After upgrading to latest git I encountered two dialogs loading a website that
said Google and asked me for my credentials.

It is awesome that support for oauth is finally there but the dialog is really
spooky because the url is not shown, I can't see if it is using SSL or not,
etc.

I think I'm experiencing the same issue. Specifically, changing the selection
in the message list sets focus to the message preview pane. There, Shift-Del
does not work (but e.g. Del alone for "move to trash" works). On the message
list itself, Shift+Del does work (if you manage to get focus there).

I don't know which of the two (focus change or no shift+del on preview pane) is
new, but it's quite aggravating in combination.

Ok so I tested once again, and if you copy then paste an email list from
LibreOffice into a text editor, you do get newlines between each emails, like
so :
```
f...@example.com
b...@example.com
"Foobar"
```

I think those newlines should do the trick, right?
