This feels like QtWebengine being slow? Or an impact of it's use?

Hi,
see https://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2646.txt.
We will generate max length = 79 char.
If we increase it we will send an email which is not the same form as you
write.
=> for sure it's not a good idea.

HTML in E-Mails is the standard way to format mails, but it has some security
impact and is unreadable in raw form.

Markdown could help here. It is readable in raw form, can be written directly
but can also be displayed nicely formatted.

It would be cool, if kmail supports the view of markdown formatted mails in a
formatted way.

[kmail2] [Bug 380912] Wordwrap with citation failure

2017-06-06 Thread bugzilla_noreply
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380912

Possible workarounds:
1. Add a "> ".
2. Completely ignore citation lines. This is especially useful, if the line
gets longer with the iteration of citations, like:
> > > > > this is the 5th reply of the original message and now longer than 78

Wordwrap with citation does not work correctly for me.

To reproduce:
- Deactivate automatic wordwrap.
- (Intelligent citing is activated)
- Answer to a mail with long lines
- Toggle wordwrap.

What happens are lines like this:
 code begin
> This was a very long long long line, that has to be word
wrapped.
 code end

So kmail wraps but breaks the cite with the wrap (althought the color of the
line is correct). If needed I can attach a screenshot.

When browsing through articles using arrow keys in Akregator it takes a couple

I checked and saw a much earlier bug report for something similar which
involved ibus - not relevant in my case, I don't use ibus and it's still going

Also, this is happening in version 5.5.1 so it's very up-to-date. Please fix

[kmail2] [Bug 380886] New: Kmail2 - missing the little arrow right below

2017-06-06 Thread Hans-J . Ullrich
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380886

Bug ID: 380886
Summary: Kmail2 - missing the little arrow right below
   Product: kmail2
   Version: 5.2.3
  Platform: Debian testing
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: minor
  Priority: NOR
 Component: UI
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: hans.ullr...@loop.de
  Target Milestone: ---

Dear maintiners,

I have a little question with the usability, maybe it is a bug?

The problem:
During sending an email, on the right below corner an arrow (pointing up or
down) appears. Clicking on it, it increases or decreases verbosity of the
sending mail. You can then also stop the send.

What I am wondering, is, this arrow disappears when no mail is beeing send or
received, so I can change the behaviour only during sending or reception.

This behaviour appears now in all kmail versions, so maybe it is either never
been told as a bug, or it is wanted to to behave as it is.

Would be nice, if you could take a look at it. IMO the arrow should always be
seen, not during send / receive.

Thank you for reading this.

Best regards

Hans-J. Ullrich
