2017-07-14 Thread Martin Koller
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=382335

Bug ID: 382335
Summary: often links lclicked lead to empty pages or doing
nothing
   Product: akregator
   Version: GIT (master)
  Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: NOR
 Component: internal browser
  Assignee: kdepim-bugs@kde.org
  Reporter: kol...@aon.at
  Target Milestone: ---

Justg reading planet KDE
https://toscalix.com/2017/07/12/new-blog-post-testing-quality-really/

There is a sentence "Check the blog post." with a link to
http://blog.toscalix.com/2016/05/testing-quality-really.html

clicking that link - nothing happens.
right-click that link and in the popup selecting "open Link in new Tab" works
(except that I get the content of "Oops! That page can’t be found."

I still expect both actions to lead to the same result: a new tab

Clicking on the second "Complete Story" link
https://toscalix.com/2017/07/12/new-blog-post-testing-quality-really/
opens the page in a new tab, but here when I now click on the same link at
"Check the blog post." the result is an empty page, and that page does not let
be go back to where I came from - no "Back" Action in the popup nor the
Backspace Key goes back.
I can only close the tab and start again

KWrite showing U+202F NARROW NO-BREAK SPACE

Does it happen also with other Qt applications and with all fonts?

I tried it with Qt 5.9.1, Noto Sans font and KWrite 17.04, and the NNBSP was
only a tiny fraction smaller than a regular space; see attachment.

I doubt this issue is specific to KDE.
